Ian Poulter, Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood & Richard Bland have all resigned their DP World Tour memberships with immediate effect, making them ineligible to compete in September’s Ryder Cup.
Poulter, Garcia, Westwood & Bland were all given sanctions by the DP World Tour for breaking rules by appearing in the LIV Golf series’ opening event in Hemel Hempstead last year without permission.

Let’s move on and look forward to the new talent coming thru for European golf
Off with them
Good luck to them. Makes sense at this stage in their careers.
Good move
All past it anyway. Wanks
PGA should now be mixed. Have make and female athletes play in a single unified tour. A split between Single sex and mixed tournaments in the calendar. Ryder Cup should definitely be mixed, Open’s should be played simultaneously but separate genders.
I for one will not miss them!!! My resentment towards LIV players stems from players choosing a money grab that undermines the sport and the very foundation that made them who they are instead of sticking up for the traditions, legacy and the good values the sport represents. The watering down effect on competition is ruining the sport for so many regular fans. Remember LIV golfers were VERY well off in the first place and didn’t need to put everything aside for money. They are not like you and I who really don’t have a choice when opportunity arises because of lack of accumulated wealth. So the question to ask oneself is if you already had 30 to 40 mill dollars in the bank (like many pga players already have or on the future) would you then say yes to a further 50 mill regardless of where it came from and my answer is a resounding NO if it meant violating my values (let’s say the money was paid by Putin – money stolen from Ukrainia) because why wouldn’t it be better and enough with 40 mill dollars and a clean conscience instead of feeling like a criminal the rest of your life not to mention the undermining effect it has on a sport that gave you so much!!!
