Hayden Wesneski was the Chicago Cubs starter today but didn’t make it through 5 innings. He only gave up 3 hits, but also 3 runs. Going into the 7th inning, the Cubs were actually down 3-2. But then the offense woke up. Ian Happ doubled home a run. Trey Mancini singled and drove in another. Patrick Wisdom singled and drove in 2 more runs. Yan Gomes grounded out but drove in another. And Miles Mastrobuoni singled in another run. They scored 6 runs in the inning.
They added on even more runs in the 8th and 9th innings. Kap hands out gold stars to pretty much everyone in the lineup. He gives stars to Hoerner, Happ, Wisdom, and Bellinger for their 3 hits tonight. He gives one to Mancini for his 3 RBIs. He gives one to Hosmer for his 2 RBIs. And he gives one to Mastrobuoni for his RBI.

I prefer a hit, double, steal base ,bunt, walk. I feel it keeps your head in the game, situational baseball. If in july there still a chance for playoffs, Call up Mervis, Davis for some pop in the lineup. I hope Belinger likes playing here, need to resign. GO CUBS.
