The Bulldogs ensured captain Marcus Bontempelli celebrated his 200-game milestone in positive fashion, grinding out a 29-point win over Hawthorn on Saturday.

The Bulldogs (4-3) were well beaten in clearances and contested possession before half-time but gradually tilted the match in their favour to secure the 14.10 (94) to 9.11 (65) victory at Marvel Stadium.

  1. ⬛ The most important thing is that J's Saints got rolled on Friday by Port, and St Kilda have 27 Wooden Spoons.

  2. Hawks giving a good contest doesn’t surprise me. They’re growing. Couldn’t sustain it for 4 quarters though. Their ruck Néd Reeves was one of their best.

  3. No the best Doggies win, but they dominated second half and got the job done. Bontl is a legend. Congrats to Arty on his first goal.

  4. No a fan of rule changes but I don't like seeing a player who is on the ground after a contest and play has stopped free or a mark. Who is then attacked, pushed back down or abused verbally. Should be a free or a 50m penalty its a not a good look for the game.
