  1. The most dominant player of Magic's era was Wilt, and he was long retired! Just ask Magic, Byron Scott and James Worthy how dominant Wilt was…

  2. It would have been exciting to see the Lakers team of '87 play the Boston Celtic team of '86. That '86 Celtic team was their best during the Larry Bird era and the '87 Laker team was arguably the best Lakers team during the Magic Johnson era. Both teams were loaded.

  3. Magic himself was very dominant.

The Lakers scored about 88.4 PPG during the minutes that Magic was on the floor season and playoffs included. Magic scored 22% of those points, and assisted on 41% of those points. Meaning he contributed to 63% towards his team's offensive output while in the game. He did this on a usage rate of 22%. I don't think you can find any other guard in the 80s or 90s for that matter that contributed that much on that amount of usage. If they were close in contribution they had much higher usage, or if they had close usage they contributed much less.

  4. If Len Bias had not died the Celtics would have won a few more championships.

  5. Michael Jordan was the best player..Larry Bird was better than Magic by a wide margin
The 86 Celtics were the best team
The Lakers overall had a better body of work than Boston during that era

  6. “1987”??? If only Bird hadn’t have stole the ball, us Bad Boys could have gave them a run, we were right there with those three great teams. That’s why the teams Jordan beat don’t impress me. We had to beat Jordan, then we had to beat bird then we had to beat Magic! Anybody could have won 6 after those three teams broke up!

  7. Michael Thompson?? The sorriest player., most dominant player Kareem???? He was washed in 1987😂😂 this guy is a meatrider and a liar

  8. If Larry legend hadn’t been around, Magic would have had 8 rings, not 5. If Magic hadn’t been around, Larry would have had 8 rings, instead of 3. The two best teams ever at the same time trading punches during the 80s. What a great era!

  9. 87 Lakers were great but the Celtics were banged up.. Walton was out, McHale playing on a fractured foot and they still won 2, would love to have seen a fully healthy 87 Celtics against the Lakers that year

  10. That was probably the greatest team ever. And Earvin made everyone better. Michael Cooper? Larry Bird called him his toughest defender. A great, great team.
