We are finally heading into the 1st major of the 2023 season, and it’s exciting! There has already been a lot of good golf, hot & cold streaks, and too many story lines to count.
No one punched their cards to The Masters at the Valero Texas Open that was not already qualified. Canadian Corey Conners won the event for the second time, but was already in The Masters by virtue of his ranking in the OWGR ranking.
Ahead of The Masters, Rose Zhang of Stanford won the August National Women’s Am in a playoff over Jenny Bae of Georgia. Zhang looks poised and talented and would not be surprised to see her polished game explode on the LPGA Tour.
Brooks Koepka took the LIV Golf event hosted in Orlando at Orange County National by 1 stroke. This was also the closest that the team competition had been for the league with 2 strokes separating 3 teams.
