Led by Stephen Curry’s 31 points and 8 assists, the No. 6 seed Golden State Warriors defeated the No. 3 seed Sacramento Kings in Game 5, 123-116. Klay Thompson (25 points) and Draymond Green (21 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals) added a combined 46 points for the Warriors in the victory, while De’Aaron Fox tallied 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists for the Kings. The Warriors lead this best-of-seven series, 3-2, with Game 6 taking place on Friday, April 28 (8:00 p.m. ET, ESPN).

Stephen Curry is now the 5th player in NBA history (6th instance) with 3 straight 30+ point games at age 35 or older, joining:
Michael Jordan (05/10/1998 – 05/23/1998): 5 Games
Michael Jordan (04/24/1998 – 05/03/1998): 4 Games
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (04/24/1983 – 05/01/1983): 4 Games
LeBron James (08/22/2020 – 08/29/2020): 3 Games
Reggie Miller (04/24/2001 – 05/02/2001): 3 Games

De’Aaron Fox (150 points, 37 assists, 31 rebounds) is the first player in NBA history to total 150 points+, 30+ assists, and 30+ rebounds in their first 5 career Playoff games.

Tonight marks the first time that Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green all scored 20 or more points in a Playoff game since May 16, 2016 vs the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Kevon Looney is the first Warrior with multiple 20+ rebound games in a single Playoff series since Nate Thurmond (1972, Western Conference Semifinals vs. The Bucks)

Tonight’s win in Sacramento gives the Warriors 28 straight Playoff series with a road win. The only other team that has a streak of 20 series or more with a road win is the Miami Heat, who had 23 straight series from 2011-20.

  1. can you goys not spoil the score in the thumbnail? or at least wait a week before changing the thumbnail?

  2. It be fun to see the warriors and lakers face off next round

  3. At the end, you could tell Fox running around with Curry wore him out, thus missing all major shots in the 5th. He was just tired. That's what Curry will do to you if you decide to commit to him. He'll take you out of your game while he still remains hot 'cause he's used to it.

  4. While Steph Curry's been one of my favorite players since 2015 (no I'm not a Warriors fan, but yes I know how that sounds), I will stand on the fact that Kevon Looney undoubtedly should've been the Western Conference Finals MVP last year and he is 100% the MVP of this first round series. Curry hasn't shot well for his standards, Wiggins has missed some crucial baskets (he's made some though), but the one consistent, shining star for Golden State has been the Iron Man down low. Without Looney, Golden State doesn't win game 3 and might end up getting swept or losing in 5. Give that man a trophy and retire his jersey now!

  5. Once again, refs did everything they could but did not manage to prevent the GSW win. Refs performance this year is an absolute disgrace. E.g. if you smack that dude from L.A. in the face like they did with Green, next thing you'll do is take a shower…

  6. The Clutch Player Of The Year came up short this time but the so called "choker" seal the deal

  7. When GSW play at their best, and if they found again the right way on away games, there is none for anyone… 🔥

  8. Dubs showed laser like focus in this game, something that has been frequently lacking during the season. It is beautiful to watch when it happens.

  9. Malik monk is just as delusional as Dillion brooks. Before the game he tells poole to “guard him” when Brodie didn’t even score 10 points. Then he makes a normal ass layup against looney and flexes like he dunked on him. cant wait to send these pussies home.

  10. It's been an up and down regular season for us…. BUT we're hitting form come play-offs!
    LETS GOOOO WARRIORS

  11. I don't understand who says curry is only about 3 points, this guy is really amazing.

  12. If your an GSW hater. Kings in 7. Otherwise GSW in 6. Me as basketball fan who cares. I don't care who's team ended up in the finals. 😅😅😅😅I love watching basketball game😂😂🎉🎉🎉
