I like… I’ve never thought of trying a little bounce with this drill. Great little addition to this drill Mark! I’ll give it a go next time I’m off to the range! I don’t “feel” as if I engage much with the vertical forces like I do with the torque and horizontal ones.
Been doing the feet together drill since I started playing again a few weeks ago…its so good
I see this drill being limited to high irons since the weight shift is critical to proper strikes from mid to low irons.
MC is just the best in the business on instruction. Love it.
When did an 8-iron become a medium iron? I always thought of 7, 6, 5 as medium irons. And, 4, 3,2 as long irons. And 1 iron as the driving iron — for the best players. Ha!
When should the jump be? Timing looks hard
Agree 100%. A few years ago a golf galaxy pro tried to teach me not to “dip” on the downswing. He didn’t realize I was using ground forces? His swing thought wasn’t sustainable. I’m doing just fine squatting and extending. Thank you very much!
hi Mark – i watched a boat load of Mike Adams swing catalyst videos and you are doing exactly what he prescribes for extra power – great work, when you got that extra speed does it "feel" quicker or less effort cause you are swinging more efficiently? thanks again
Great advice as always Mark. I visited an unnamed golf course recently where the pro has met yourself, Peter and Rick. You were described as the absolute nicest guy, closely followed by Peter 👍🏼
I hit my 8 iron as far as you do without the bounce, and I've been wondering how on earth to get more power… think I might need to get my springy summer golf shoes on Great vid – thanks Mark!
Well done mark 👏 😊
These quick lesson videos are seriously great and far more beneficial than most realize!
This drill scares the living daylights out of me. As someone who's struggled with fats historically, this 'bounce' just feels like another thing I've got to try to time perfectly to avoid crashing into the ground or thining it. Do you just trust your body will know what to do?
So – I’m going for a fitting for a set (6 – PW) of Srixon ZX 4 MKII’s next Friday – I don’t just want a sales job done on me – so what are the things a professional fitter should be looking at and measuring / guaging about me & my swing so I walk out of there with the correct prescription for my height & swing speed / type ?
Any chance of a list ?
Maybe a subject for your Golf Guru channel perhaps ? Thanks.
