When should you do cardio and how much should you do?

If you’re a freak who enjoys being healthy and doing cardio, then you can just do cardio whenever you want… 🤮

But when it comes to weight loss, cardio is mainly used as a tool for when you don’t want to reduce your calories further!

For example, you’re trying to lose that last bit of weight and your calories are quite low already. Instead of lowering calories even further and risking binge eating, extreme hunger, and poor training performance, cardio can be implemented and tracked to further burn those calories which will help you lose more weight!

Any form of cardio can be implemented for weight loss as long as you have a way to track it. That way it’s consistent, and you can always increase that expenditure when calories burnt isn’t enough!

  1. Personally I only do a 5 minute warmup on cardio sometimes more if my gf is with me cause she's a cardio weirdo

  2. Hey lem I got a question for u maybe a video idea.

I currently am on a 3 day modified PPL split (push days are chest tris and bis pull is back front side and rear delts) but find that my chest days are lacking intensity. I do try to push as hard as I can but find i just don't connect with my chest and biceps like I do with my back shoulders and legs. Got any suggestions?

  3. Cardio is a great tool for your aerobe vascularity, getting oxygen to your brain easier and making u feel more active/productive throughout the day

  4. You should do cardio even if you don't like it. Running can be boring at the beginning but when you have a goal and when you progress you will start to like it…

  5. I want to do more cardio. I trekked up a volcano last week and I almost died before the non-existant lava could get to me.
All my smaller 65kg hiking bros managed to hike up with barely any trouble. My 95kg ass had to take a break every 5 mins

I can't let that disrespect go

  6. Dang bro, I thought what I was doing was normal? I do cardio 3 times a week as well, but more so for weight loss and fat burn. At my current weight, I do 30 mins on the stair master( 500 calories), 30 mins at 3mph on a treadmill (180-200 calories), and 5 minutes/1000 meter row (60-70 calories) all in one session. I’ve been on a diet for 7 months and exercising for 4 months, and I’ve lost 60 lbs and counting. But good god does cardio suck ass!😅

  7. When I was at my peak fitness, I didn't care much for cardio as well. I had gained 40ish pounds/ 16kg since then (it's been like 6 years). This year I got so fed up with the weight gain and got into running… Finding it pretty enjoyable! Lost 20lbs trying to get myself back and hopefully the last 20 will be the second half of this year 🎉

  8. I’ve lost 10 pounds while being on a deficit and I’ve just included some cardio a couple times a week when I felt like I got stuck.
Ain’t no damn way I’m lifting these heavy ass weights without some fuel in my stomach lmao.
Cardio is for maniacs, but I’ve grown to enjoy it lol

  9. You definitely deserve all the attention you’re getting. You’re gonna go far lee. Thanks for the content

  10. The most important muscle in the body is the heart. Weather ur trying to cut or bulk or maintain you cannot skip heart day.

  11. Stair master 300 calories? Omgee how long do u have to be on it for that? Heck that 😂 lol . Ive been walking on incline for 30 mins id rather take more time than do it quick on stair master. Good for you though very good for your heart!

  12. Could someone please explain to me why walking helps lose calories? I know it’s a dumb question, but I thought calories happened through breathing more and having a higher heart rate, and walking doesn’t really cause either does it?

  13. High Vo2 max is the number one correlation to longevity. Do both to be strong and life long ❤

  14. Cardio is good for real life movements, if you do anything sport-wise , you will need cardio. No point strength training if you get gassed out after 2 minutes of anything functional. Train everything and get good at everything. HIIT workouts + strength training workouts for best human performance.

  15. Man you gotta be my favorite fitness influencer. The tips truly do help and your sense of humor is amazing, appreciate you brother ❤

  16. for a typical push pull legs split, when should you do cardio? still every day? don’t do it on leg day? don’t do it the day following leg day to allow recovery?
