Just curious, do you ever teach BDog to use the full width of the tee so he can aim away from trouble? Bunkers down the right, tee up on the right and aim at the left rough and hit a little faderoony.
Really don't think he can hit a five wood 280? 3rd hole. Then hits driver on 8th hole only 250? 🤔

I'm like a 40 handicap, and can barely hit a golf ball. But my last round I started writing down how many shots I lost to mental mistakes (bad swing thoughts, wrong club choice, trying to hit hero shots) and it came to about 25. I could break 100 just by playing a perfect mental game. This advice can be applied at every level.

You definitely wanna make sure to make a good swing in particular shots over water and bunkers. I can tell the greens were really fast on this golf course; he should have used a shorter firmer stroke for putts closer to the hole aiming more towards the hole. A few more practice swings before each shot and he should hit it when he’s ready. He could benefit from a smaller head driver also. Other than that he’s pretty solid 😊
This is literally my golf game. I shoot pars and bogies on most holes besides about 3 or 4 holes, which are usually triples that dramatically increase my score. Usually due to one or two bad shots/decisions. So frustrating.

I'd started obsessing over "magic pill" swing fixes at the range for a month and my handicap went up from 3.1 to 4… I passed along the bit posted a few days ago about practicing pitching and chipping, then realized the irony. I did that instead of range for one practice session and then went out and shot a 73 (tied for my best round ever) with a birdie putt for 72 that I hit a little bit too hard. So much less pressure on things when you realize you don't have to (and never are going to) hit every fairway and green.
Man those greens were wicked fast.
My problem is the occasional cranio-rectal inversion. Shot an 88 Monday but on a par 5 up left of a green side bunker. Shitty beat up bunker short and water behind. Shoulda putted around and took the bogey. Instead, chunked one into bunker, then over into the water. Walked to next tee with a quadruple bogey. That should be an 85 even with with two 3-putts. The tees were way up but it’s just nice to be on the right side of 90 again.

Thats how I feel, shot 89 but stupid mistakes and non concentrating lose me like 5 strokes/round.

Please stop playing the horrible jazz music between holes. It basically sounds like it should be a part of a playlist called “my life sucks”. The more up-tempo music is a little bit better but not by much. Not sure I can watch many more videos with this music.
