Willie Mason & Justin Horo present Levels Podcast, twice a week reviewing & previewing all the NRL games also giving their best tips.

Willie Mason is a former Kangaroo and NSW representative, is considered one of the most successful front rowers in NRL history. In 2004, he was a part of the famous ‘Dogs of War’ team that won the Grand Final, and he also received the Clive Churchill Medal during that match.

Justin Horo is another former NRL player who played 120 games for Parramatta and Manly from 2010 to 2015. In addition to playing in the UK Super League, he also represented the New Zealand Māori team.

    In terms of origin selection taulagi played one game was terrible 1st game was Coates and cobbo and 3rd game was cobbo (who got knocked out) and Oates

    NSW have wasted their 14 selection for ever. Cook and Api duo was a atep in the right direction. If you want someone with actual impact at that position, as well as someone who can cover multiple positions you best be going dyl walker. Bit left field but it's a shit tonne better than carrying Nicho on the bench.

    I'm starting Hamole if Martin ain't fit. Murray on the bench.

    No way am I selecting turbo atm he is playing like a geriatric. I think Campbell Graham gets the nodd over critta and staggs because they are all the same level, however Graham will get the nodd politically because he is aligned with the kangaroos (kangaroos players will probably get the nodd over toa and mmt players if it's a split decision). I'd love to see staggs have an actual crack at it. I'm mainly concerned with ponga or Walsh shredding that nsw right edge so I'd want a defensive/speedy beast there preferably.

    Forward rotation is haas, jurbo, Paulo and one of the saifitis.

    Campbell Graham over Suaali'i on form easily, Graham has played more wing than Suaali'i has😂and stephen crichton had a good attacking game but had a terrible defensive performance last week, Luai over Hynes for game 1

    Respect for OG but Mase man saying he’s not a 6 why you playin him at 6 is just in defence of Luai. (TrellMit a 1, Tomy a 1, Murray a 13, Jack Wighton won games from centre playing 6 last few years like come on bro)

    When Nicos played 6&7 for years coming through played 1 a bunch for Melbourne would come on playing like a ball running 6/13 off the bench. His main strength being he’s a big bodied ball running playmaker which makes all the sense in the world.

    Also we’ve now lost 2 series that simply we shouldn’t have lost. I hate to say it QLD know all they have to do like Souths is to shut down Naths time with the ball with crazy linespeed. And unfortunately when they’ve done that without a good backup kicker at 1 or 9 it falls to Luai and he hasn’t stepped up to ease that pressure. Instead NSW had to turn to a debutant in Burton to hope he could be that 2nd option.

    But if you have the Dally M medalist that can play that 2nd fiddle as a ball runner. Can take pressure off Nath if he’s under the pump as a playmaker or kicking option. Why not play him? Can you honestly say Luai could slide to 7 and steer that team around without a top tier organising Half like Nico?? I dunno man chances are Freddy should at the least go Luai 6 Nico 14 and have Cookie play those big minutes he’s proven he can manage.

    QLD forward pack you’ve got as middles Welch Tino Papalii Collins Fifita Cotter Gilbert Flegler then you’ve got Carrigan at 13 but also Jai Arrow that can play edge or middle so a tonne of options.

    But as for backrowers you’ve really only got Kaufusi Nanai Fifita & maybe Arrow that’s it. So question is Cotter has got to get picked maybe to rotate with Carrigan into 13 but who misses out?

    Levels and BIAB both trying to avoid talking about the reffing, I think it’s too big of an issue to not talk about it. Not so much blaming the refs, they do a thankless job and we wouldn’t have a game without them, it’s clearly coming from above them. It’s honestly such a joke, really is ruining the game for me.
