Scott’s rarely given interviews over the years, he’s sat back and let his massively influential skateboarding do the talking. The heaviest of which is undoubtedly his ‘Bootleg 3000’ video part from 2003.
People still talk about this part all the time—how incredible it was for someone so young, putting down so many handrail NBDs, and packing a twelve-minute part with all bangers and no filler. So take a trip down memory lane with Scott and us, and hear some stories behind some of these insane clips.

  1. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽Legendary!! The fact that they had Kool Keith in it was so dope! How dare he say Frisco when it was an ATL spot…hahaha! 🔥🔥🔥

  2. favor part of yours was the Mikey issue 411. "you know my name bitch" haha that part goes!

  3. they called them the bum rails? that's funny. think tore out that entire area and kicked all the bums out from the library

  4. I remember this video part felt light years ahead of everything else. He was just so young and doing the craziest stuff. The kickflip noseblunt had me shook. We were around the same age and I skated handrails also. This part definitely pushed me to flip into handrails way more

  5. I still have a copy of Bootleg 3000 on VHS 🙌🙌 I don't think anyone calls it an Overcrook, Scott…. I've received so much flak for calling it that lol. People get so butthurt "there's no such thing as an OVERCROOK! It's just a nosegrind" haha. What'd they call it backntheday, a noseblunt grind? That's pretty good 😁

  6. I watch this part at least 3 times a year. Scott Kane was on another fuckin planet back then

  7. I was at ASR when this dropped. People were talking about it for sure, big-time BUZZ

  8. every time this gets posted anywhere I gotta comment on the kickflip noseblunt. still a rare trick on a rail, and I love the way he does it – he shapes his kickflip, tweaks it down before he hits the noseblunt. lot of power in that kickflip
