The 2023 NFL Draft class is full of phenomenal athletes that can rush the QB. Time to take a look at some that could be a great fit for the Packers.

I feel like McDonald isn't making it to round 2 for the packers. His speed and length is gonna be too hard for teams at the back of the 1st round to pass up. I can see him getting picked up by the chiefs.
I feel like Felix will go in the second round, if edge players don't fly off the board in the first. He needs to develop, yes, but he could still be a rotational pass rusher and succeed in his rookie year given he goes to the right team. I would probably cry if the Packers got him in the second though
All the D1's on Defense over the past 10-15 years and they're not good. They can barely stop the run.
Learn how to coach a Defense first.
Drafting a Tackle, WR, and TE should be priority. Even Guard.
Safeties are D2 at best.
I think there is a good chance we trade back in the first and take a TE then use some of the trade pick(s) to move up a bit in the second and take an edge near the top of the second.
Here's my thoughts:
Our needs are S, WR, TE, and Edge
Safety is thin so get them early, and imo WR too.
Tight end and edge rusher is stacked. Get them late or trade back early round pics and stock up.
Sorry Packers fans we all know you will draft Keion White at 15 for the worst pick in the 1st round
what about Luke Van Ness???
Adetomi Adebwore (Not sure that's how it's spelled) would feel good in the second imo
Tom I don't know what board you were looking at that had Felix on Day 3. Dude is consistently mocked in the top 50.
Love your video Tom
Anudike Uzomah is going 2nd round idk what you're talking about
A prospect I don’t hear talked a lot about for the packers that I LOVE as a fit is BJ Ojulari!!!
Too many good Edges translates to having to completely re-imagine Offense…The field has been shortened
Tuipulotu is a surname anyone in the UK is familiar with weirdly enough because of rugby. His heritage is probably Tongan and the south sea island guys are some of the best athletes in the world. They hit guys and genuinely you think they've killed someone.
Y’all really passing on Van Ness?
Tuli is a DAWG. Nice to see him getting some love, but he better not go to the Packers. I need him in black and gold.
The "problem" with Nolan Smiths production is the sheer depth of Georgia's Defensive Line. He had to share his time on the field with so many good players that his stats don't really reflect his value as a playmaker.
Kind of not too much on topic but I have to say one of the things that always has bothered me is societal assumptions, example 1. If you got to a therapist your emotions/issues will be better 2. If an alcoholic goes to AA they will stop drinking Why I mention this is there are so many in NFL fans/analysts 1. If a QB gets drafted and sits for a year, he will definitly get better. 2. If a veteran is at a position and a rookie comes in, he will "groom" him?! I hate that darn word! More often then not, a vet is trying to keep their job. They are working every single day to be better and make the team better. He is not worried about "grooming" the guy trying to take his job!
Also this is not a video game, you can't just "trade back for value". Someone needs to want to trade up! Now if you make the deal so crazy like going back from 15 to say 22 and pick up just a 4th….sure you can do that, but it isn't worth the risk. players don't necessarily go around where they are mock'd
Sounds like the Packers and Steelers are in the same boat in regards to EDGE. Both have too good starters and are looking to add depth in a deep class.
I thought you might mention Keion White as well.
2:20 u got it right!
Lukas Van Ness! Go Hawks! Go Pack Go!
Yall arent gonna be good until you get rid of Gutekunst
Nolan smith is so befuddling to me. On one hand, he's tiny and didn't produce numbers on the stat sheet. On the other hand, he's a freak athlete who punches well above his weight, he's smart, has great football instincts, has an endless motor, and the two most important – he's a leader, and he's a football player. not just an athlete. too many times we have seen freak athletes bust out because they don't know how to play football. Smith is both. the Packers are in desperate need of speed off the edge, and at linebacker, smith could realistically be Micah Parsons lite for us. I just have a gut feeling he can be a jack of all trades for the packers, but who knows.
Wasnt Tuipuluto a tackle for USC?
I’m a bears fan but I still want Tom to be happy
Felix goes anywhere from the end of first to middle of second
Lukas Van Ness would be great too. With the exception of Josh Jackson, most defensive players Green Bay drafts from Iowa have worked out well. Aaron Kampman, Micah Hyde, Mike Daniel's to name a few. 😉👍
Really hope we get Will McDonald because there’s gotta be some joke about Old McDonald’s farm and his Field or something, there’s something here
McDonald is a 5th yr senior so I doubt if the Packers would be interested he'll be 24 going on 25 a little old and probably reached his ceiling. Your other top 4 mentions would be nice additions especially 2nd round. They have to get an edge high. A safety too, people won't like it, but they almost have to hit both high this yr.
The 2 guys id want from the draft is Darnell Washington and trade for Budda Baker and Id be super happy with that
FAU gonna be gone in the 2nd
