Big Shoutout to Tyler for sharing his journey and how he can bomb as a short(ish) king 😉 – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPTERzsmZvmUnWckJZUqzEQ
First
Love it
I'm 5'8", 135 lbs, and I'm at that 380 ft range. I'm really interested in trying some things out to help me get to that elusive 420+ ft range. Us shorter guys need to work extra hard for that distance!
Rochester represent!
Been playing 7 years. Taller and lanky at 6’3 160. I’ve plateaued at a consistent 370-400 golf shot. Super frustrating
I am 5'8'' and consistently average 480', 500 is tougher but doable.
As fellow short king bomber, I think of the reach back in my opposite shoulder and elbow rather than the throwing arm.
Man I’d love just to get my form to where his starting version was
I follow Tyler also and yeah he definitely can juice it
As a 45+ years old player, I'd just like to say for some of us with nerve damage and arthritis and bum knees from rock climbing and skateboarding, about 350 is what I'm capable of. That's why woods course's are my jam. I'm never going to throw like the pros, but that's okay. I play my best game.
I suggest you find people that aren't 25 and under to get how they threw farther..it's and age thing. Went from 76 mph to 86 just by streaking a couple things when I was young. my point is you will ALLWAYS find younger people getting the most change in their game. find the older guys that just started (there are tons) and find those guys and girls' tips on how they improved. anytime you find younger people, they will almost improve regardless with repetition. I did it multiple times through multiple sports with youth and a few changers. Find older people on how they just learned to throw harder because it eliminates the age advantage. You get these tips, apply to the young guys too, and they will automatically improve. I'd love to hear how a 40 year old threw extra 100 ft. Bet you can't find that…..I've been trying and actually figured it out. But there aren't many others out there
Great video I learned a lot
tyler is a bamf, he's got a refined methodology for sure. thanks tony!
Great video fellas.
Let's go Sabres/Bills!
I have to say, the tips that resonated with me was 1) quicken the backswing and swing, 2) keeping it simple, and 3) stop worrying about it when you're actually playing a tournament (or scored round) – you have to play with what you got. But that first one I think might help timing issues that I have.
Tyler Science
Nice video as always!
My friend tried to copy Eagle Macmahons form to throw further and for him it worked really well. from throwing about 300ft when he started he now can throw some 500ft golfline shots. I made a video about it if you want to check it out: https://youtu.be/WJJ6OLH-vVE.
I think he also would love to share his best tips in the same format you had with Tyler. 😀
This was really helpful. Gonna try to stay loose this morning
Just throw harder/faster and you'll be able to throw harder/faster.
So glad to see this collab! I have been following Tyler for a while now and have learned so much from him. I'm 5'7 and am still a total noob. Getting about 300 with accuracy but I feel like I'm on the cusp of so much more with help from people like Tyler!
Those mics are meant to pick up audio from your throat not directly in front of your mouth. Just a heads up
gotta get that strain that real strain on the upper back for the COIL
i think Josh from Overthrow is great and other guys are great but i also think Overthrow is wrong on a few things like hes confusing a few things and when you bring that up he gets all butt hurt and cant comprehend he said something not quit right etc.. Stokely even admits some techniques work for some and dont for others and you have to understand that!
recently ive figured out how to throw LAZER BEAM hyzer flip sidearms .. started off bcuz i couldnt throw my midrange into a headwind sidearm but same disc i could back hand into headwind so i knew had to be my technique eventually figured it out and took that same style of throw to my drivers and BOOM launching 380ft lazer beams with my star Destroyer or even 410ft hyzer flips with my star Shryke.. i also figured out that to get my mids and understable drivers to throw great backhand i have to pull back on a hyzer Isaac Robinson style whereas when i throw a flat or anhyzer drive i pullback on anhyzer angle with disc Ghannon style .. its like we try to copy technique from one disc to another or one speed to another but each style of disc needs a different style of throw one needs more spin and one needs more speed
to get your heel down INSTEAD of thinking to ones self get the heel down what you wanna do is SLAM that foot into the ground thats overexaggerating the move to get heel down in a fast way and eventually you dont have to think about slamming the foot down it just will happen!
Did you see there’s a flex on May 2 with a chance to earn a spot in 303 Open?
Great video! That tyler guy seems cool.
Great tips. Nice to talk to others to get cues. More of this sort of stuff please.
not convinced height matter as much for distance as its being suggested here. I think coordination is far more important to D and its easier to be coordinated when you shorter/smaller. now putting i think height can give you a noticeable edge in that department.
Im 5'4 and cant throw past 250ft no matter what I do. Been playing for just about a year. Been practicing so much, so played my first tournament this week and just got smoked. It wasn't even funny. Figure I will try this but about to give up.
