The Best Forgiving Irons For YOU of 2023!?

  1. I just purchase the 923 hot metals. They're amazing and they were on special for $1400 AUD which is a heap cheaper than most other irons out there.

  2. I’m still using the JPX900 hot metal irons, I wish i could afford to upgrade but definitely not this year.

  3. I like the look of these, not painted up or over badged. Feel the same about Srixon irons, but the new Cobra King tour, cb, and mb have my interest as far as new clubs go. I'm not about to shell out that kind of money however…eyeballing a used set of J33 bridgestones, from more my era, all for just seventy dollars, lol! Or Titleist 695mb's, Ping S55's are always on my radar.
I've got a well worn set Mizuno MP32's I mess around with, plus a handful of different single irons for fun, then there's the taylormade burner tour irons I've had for over twenty years, no paint in the small cavities, those I'll never get rid of….knowing full well irons really have improved over the yea…decades since 1997.

  4. Playing P790s. Went in to evaluate some new irons, and JPX923 Forged were at the top of the list… but I couldn’t justify it with how close performance was. Ended up with new shafts for the P790s to get a bit higher peak height and more spin…. But the 923 Forged are a dream to hit and impressively forgiving

  5. Great video James . I got a set of mp-25 irons last year and can’t believe how well they go . I’m sure the latest Mizuno irons must be incredible 👍🏌️‍♀️⛳️

  6. I have the JPX 921 split set with forged & tour which I absolutely love even if I think they are too good for me!

  7. These irons are great for someone who it teetering been a tour and players distance iron. It’s got the great tech of the hot metal in a players shape.

  8. James, I tried the 223 and 225 but liked the 921 forged better, feeling and strike. I ended up choosing the Wilson Staff D7 Forged but the 921 Forged were a strong second along with the WS D9 Forged.

  9. Still using my Mizuno JPX 900 Forged (KBS Tour Shafts and Golf Pride Tour Wrap Grips) Mizuno makes the best irons IMO.

  10. Have the 921 love the looks and feel, hot metal have 3 pro and 3 regular kbs 90 steel shaft. I’m a 15 handicap struggling getting the 7 and 6 in the air thinking maybe the high launch. I’m 72 and don’t want to waste my money. I hit a 7 iron 140 yards thanks

  11. Currently still gaming the JPX 921 Forged from a couple years ago. I was 50/50 on the Tour vs the Forged, but going with the Forged allowed me an extra wedge in the bag, so I ended up with them. They look good, feel good, and perform good as well.

  12. Put them in your bag ! I’m currently playing the ping g425 I need all the forgiveness I can get 😁

  13. Sporting the 923 forged. My replacement for my beloved Mizuno T Zoid pro.

I love the looks and feel + the help. Great content James.

  14. Hi James, i looked at the JPX forged, however they were at 2500 for a set, then I saw the Srixon ZX7 . ended up going a combo ZX5 in 4-5 iron and 6-PW in the ZX7 and these bad boys feel as Good as the JPX, and saved 900 bucks

  15. Hi James
I got fitted into the MizunoJPX 923 Hot Metal Pro in Marchand received them a week or so ago. I’ve only played 1 round so far ,but,WOW absolutely loved them, more control over distance etc and playing off 28 hcp I’ll have them for quite a few years whilst helping improve my game
    Cheers

  16. This is why getting fit is critical when there's a wide range within a manufacturer. I tested the entire 923 lineup and figured I'd end up in the HM or HM high launch.

Every single number was better with the 923 forged. Should be arriving next week and I'm insanely excited to get em out on the course

  17. Great video – I liked the cuts back and forth between the simulator and the course. Nice clubs too!!
