This is a rule which needs more protection from the players as far as protecting the field. I question Brooks' cup repair on one of the first few holes of round 4. Don't have a rules book in front of me but if I remember correctly a player can't make a repair to the edge of the cup before putting unless it is agreed upon that the cup is damaged. I scored 100% on the PGA rules test in 1997, so it's very possible that the rules have changed since then

Also, there are numbers on balls to differentiate your ball from an opponent's ball. Duh!
