Love that he spoke out, but “the fabric of the game” was lost a long time ago. The refs control NBA games and it has been obvious for a long time… tonight was a perfect example with Bucks vs. Warriors… first game I watched all week and sure enough the refs were at it again… they just weren’t calling fouls on the Warriors no matter what they did on defense. It was turrible. I imagine the NBA is like mainstream newsrooms… most of the time nobody has to say out loud what’s expected, but there is a definite agenda.
Speak your mind VanVleet. Lead the way for players who might be scared to speak up. Refs ain't perfect!

Refs are single handedly hurting the game. So much people can't watch the games anymore because of the refs. Instead of fining Vanvleet, fine the refs. They are hurting the product immensely. I tune in, but stopped watching two years ago because I just can't take how the game is officiated anymore.

Reffing isn't easy and you're going to inevitably miss some calls, but what is inexcusable is refs handing techs out like candy because of their precious ego's. There's gotta be thousands of talented qualified refs who would love a spot on the floor, why don't we just fire the repeat offenders and give someone else the job.
I dont think FVV would have caught that fine if he would have just said what he said and not had 3 F bombs peppered in it lol, 30k sounds like 10k per each F bomb, but thats just me, obviously I dont play in the NBA so I dont know if it was really cuz he critiqued the refs, that ref specifically
