I do not agree on Mayer. This is a deep TE class and the Bengals do have to future proof the roster at more of a premium position. When you have pick 28 and you can lock up a player at a premium position that you can't land in free agency then you need to make that move (CB, DL, WR, a TE that can put up WR numbers, or OT).
I would make the argument that if the Bengals don't see Jonah Williams with a future past this season and Darnell Wright falls enough that they trade up for Wright if they have a deal in place for Williams if they can get him. In this scenario they have a OT locked up for 5 years and get something for Jonah Williams.
GREAT PICK AT 21! I don’t think I’ve seen the Chargers take Quentin Johnston in a mock but I would love if it happened. Yes I like a lot of day 2 receivers and would be happy with edge in round 1, Quentin Johnston has an absurd ceiling. He has the speed and athleticism that nobody else has in our WR room and we NEED to start adding receivers before Mike and Keenan have to move on

This didn’t age well with the Lions trading Jeff, but getting Porter and Gonzalez, in addition to the extra picks from trading down and what Brad Holmes has show he can do with later picks, it adds to the growing hope that Detroit could be an actual threat.
