  1. I got pretty excited when you mentioned this on the Rough Cut Podcast. I've been building up my own small collection of older (read cheaper) JDM clubs this past year. Have fallen in love with soft Japanese forgings, and researching all the different brands is a lot of fun.

  2. I would get bespoke leather iron headcovers and treat them like any handcrafted Japanese blade… more like a sheath, really.

  3. Instead of head covers get one of those Founders Club cart bags that have individual slots that nestle around the iron's head.

  4. David did a good job whilst he was here, you've got to respect his conviction and of course, he's totally right. Show those badboys off!

  5. I've got to be perfectly honest. Even though I'm sure they feel amazing and they cost more than my house, those muscle back irons are a little too gimmicky for my tastes. They look a little like something Fred Flintstone would use.

  6. But… Japanese steel is notoriously bad, that's why they had to work it so much when making swords back in the day
