I thought CBS announcers did a good coverage and was very fair to LIV players, even somewhat golf channel did. The Masters made clear to them not to create division ! I wish they would of threw that woman usa today reporter off the property as she did not comply with the MASTERS request.

Love LIV! Does it outshine the Majors? No of course not, but it is great to have between the Majors! PGA Tournaments between the majors are a little lackluster. GO LIV! Masters Purse $18 Mil. LIV Tucson Event? 25 Million! That makes for some excitement! The majors should always be about the BEST of the Best PERIOD!
I am a lifetime golfer and I’ve never watched more of the masters than this week. I was hooked. Great stuff and an obvious decision to have the best golfers play.
LIV is nothing more than a tour. It has a different format and it pays the people money up front. It has a team format plays shorter events and does some different things to try and generate interest in the game. While I am not a fan of the format, Greg Norman, Saudi backed anything, or the bad mouthing the PGA thing, if players want to participate in it, good for them. It doesn't detract from past accomplishments or their competitive nature. I think they should be able to compete in Majors if they have earned that right, but they need to stick to golf and keep their opinions about the PGA to themselves. You cant bite the hand that's paying you.
Doesn't PGA linked board members have the majority in the world ranking committee? So not sure LIV will get ranking points anytime soon unless there's pressure from the Masters and other majors who use it. And I'm hearing this may happen simply for the sake of the future of the sport.

It’s so tough finding unbiased golf LIV/PGA content. We don’t get it from the media and the liv guys can go too far the other way. Keep at it and this channel will explode as liv gets larger

I don't understand the division between Liv and the PGA tour.
Why not host a competitive event between the two tours.
Think of the money it would generate. Sponsored, charities, club manufacturers, apparel, the game itself all win. Talk about growing the game.
They are leaving a lot of money on the table over a grade school squabble.
OWGR has a huge astrix over it now . If the majors continue to use OWGR and even top 30 Fed Ex for entry then 24 majors will be astrixed. Remember 31% of worlds top 100 as from 12 months ago are not on PGAT. That puts astrix against this year's Fed Ex that's just fact . Give live 5 spots per major plus exemptions and find away to fix ranking. Remember the job of the OWGR is to rank players not for players to meet a criteria .
Not sure how the Masters could justify prohibiting LIV players from participating when amateurs are allow to play.
So what. 7 PGA players finished in the Top 10. That's more impressive.
These players became top players in the pga not in LIV. Is not that the LIV is keeping them competitive..the LIV pretty much took most great players..so of course some will stil preforme very well.

All LIV players are past PGA pros who got their start thru PGA efforts at growing the game so there's no denying the link between the two. Those who played in the Masters have been there before and performed just like players have in the past. Some good, some not so good, and many disappointed their respective fans. Let the blame game begin. Again.
But in this day and age when all pro sports are under a cloud for paying outrageous salaries and then having to put up with outrageous player behavior the natural response is to view those players as necessary risk that teams take in order to win. For LIV, their team is the PIF, an unnatural heritage for PGA fans to support. So when the media is given the blame for promoting a narrative that attempts to put LIV players in a negative light, try to reflect on the first months of LIV's rude and bullying tactics which were led by the second coming of a Greg Norman mutiny.
Love LIV GOLF, Format is great, great fan experience, players wear shorts, team format, great players. GO LIV
I suppose in some circles choking off a four-shot lead can be considered to be "shining". Two years ago before his year of non-competitive play, Keopka would have finished that off with a green jacket.

I just found this channel and couldn’t be happier to find unbiased golf reporting. Unlike The Golf Channel that has become the Fox News of golf only reporting their/PGA interest. The success and satisfaction from the Masters coverage just goes to show that this is what everyone wants to see and not including the LIV players to get the best players competing is travesty that the PGA is not on board. It appears that they are self serving and frankly, are the ones ruining golf, not LIV as most are saying. The OWGR and Ryder Cup are also complicit and needs to change or they will also become a joke. Please continue to become the source where we can tune in for all inclusive, unbiased golf news on all tours.
LIV golfers should be allowed to play EVERY PGA venue – enough of bad mouthing them – they wanted to earn money – if Woods would have went to LIV -PGA would not have objected – but he knew he is finished & would not be able to play – so Woods – Jack – Rory – Couples & others ran their mouths & the whole world fell in order to them – PGA is being run by Woods n Jack – 2 creeps – the LIV golf is in the 21st Century the way they dress n play – none of this somber funeral parlor stuff with Nantz – i just do not like the loud music – no need for it other than that i watch LIV over PGA unless Phil is there – so there !!

lots of people talk about WGC match play event being a great fun event and its going away. my question to the pga tour ONLY fan's who say that, is why is it fun and okay to enjoy a different formate of golf on one Tour but not okay on another tour, with quality players in both fields. thats the part that really hurts as a fan of golf.

How can the PGA Championship be still be considered a major – without the LIV star golfers who basically dominated the Open & Masters?
It’s a non story because Phil was so many shots behind. There were absolutely no pressure on him during the round. Comebacks from 10 shots behind has only happened 1 time in professional golfing history. The largest, final-round, come-from-behind victory in PGA Tour history happened in a major championship that is more famous for the other guy's collapse. The major is the 1999 British Open. The "other guy," the leader after the third round, was Jean Van de Velde. In other words Phil couldn’t have expected a similar outcome so there wasn’t any pressure on Phil trying to catch up. He hasn't been able to compete in any LIV tournaments. He has no top 30 finishes. Think about that?!? – with only 48 players in the field:) He was so far behind the leader at Augusta before the final day that there were no pressure on him at all! He was never close and lost by 4 shots which is a lot in golfing terms. Phil is playing his worst golf right now so it seems obvious that he was winging it this last round and got lucky but was never in contention. Now he is parading around when he was never in the lead or close to winning. Such an attention seeking cry baby! WAaaaaaa

I believe at the end of the day that it is so much easier for golf fans to turn on the tv and watch the PGA Tour. I watched a lot of the LIV Golf on Youtube last year but now it isn't as easily accessible.
I picked the top 5 to be LIV golfers ,but DJ and Cam were playing at the fat cats course,boy they let lots of fans down,they were not ready for prime time or anytime,fellows you have to practice which you didn’t do ,wow I was so disappointed with you both,Phil,Patrick,Brook great job guys you were ready to play.Congratulations to Jon he is number 1 for sure.

Liv golfers are just PGA golfers, that went for a paycheck. Liv hasn't produced any masters level talent

What would happen if to Golf if the LIV players are banned from Major Tournaments in the future? It will make the PGA and major tournaments look bad. Like they are afraid to compete or will not compete.
I think Golf will owe a debt of gratitude to one Golfer. Woods? No, I'm not talking about Woods. I'm talking about the one who shall remain nameless. And I bet most of what has transpired over the past year or so was far from a surprise to him.
There is one thing that Liv Golf does that the PGA doesn't do, or has not done in the past. Golfers will not try to ignore LIV Golfers for long. They can't.
This Masters was not a fluke. Wait til Abraham Ancer or Juagin Neiman (can't even spell his name right) or Danny Lee, etc. win a huge tournament? For the powers that be, or that have been, in the Golf world it is a Catch 22. The Golf Powers that be will say: "HOLD on a minute bucko! These other players are not grandfathered in. They can't play the top tournaments in the world against OUR players! (We OWN GOLF!)." Imagine that coming out more and more. Catch 22…..
I don't watch LIV Golf for the team thing. I watch it for the individual thing and the team thing can add an added dimension to things.
I feel very, very, very sorry for how people feel about the LIV players and Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately, your leaders in the U.S. are totally in bed with SA and have been for a long time, even 9-11. For the pipe smokers out there, put that in your pipe and smoke it because you do whether you want to or not. How much are you not paying at the pump now? Hmmmmm?????? Just one very small example. And when that very favorite journalist in the Masters press conference brought this up (and most assuredly this was pre-planned) – THAT WAS A HUGE MISTAKE. Always is when you bring something up and it explodes in your face, which it will if it has not already. Don't bring stuff up that implicates YOU! The Chairman should have known better and I suspect he did. I wonder if he warned them about this in advance, that it really wasnt' a good idea and that IF that is your ace in the hole, you're losing that card game.
