It was a heavy weight battle of tactics but unfortunately this was the only outcome as the city players looked sharper, more fit and much much hungrier than bayern players. And also, majority of this group has been together for sometime now, so absorbing the coaches instruction is easier. Another problem is Tuchel likes to tinker a lot, him changing his back 3 and moving upemecano to the right of it destroyed all the good he had done. It was also naive of him to try and push for an equalizer, could've taken the 1-0 defeat and put it all on the line at the allianz arena.
And the dude just likes changing things, did this at Chelsea and lost the dressing room, it's difficult for players to adapt in a game, especially if they didn't practice what you are asking them to do. This is not a video game, most of the things players do on a pitch is instinctive, and that's driven by habitual behavior that needs to be cultivated on the training pitch, not in a high level Tuesday night European games.
this tie is far from over.
bayern was very lucky they could have gotten 5
Completely agree with this. Tuchel has gotten a lot of slack, but that purely comes from the scoreline. How many teams actually go to City and get more possession. That's a result of the shape and the tactics and it's down to the players to then take advantage of that. Bayern were sloppy
Imagine if this YouTuber received an offer for a manager role in a big club. That, would be insane. I Hope he brings back Pep Guardiola’s Barca tiki taka system if he accepts the role.
Pep coached a 5-0 win but we got only 3 goals.
Bernardo ❤
Upamecano gifted 2 Goals
Bayern looked helpless and Clueless too
Q from the US: obv a manager/coach can communicate adjustments to the team at halftime. But how does a manager do this during a half of football? In US basketball, football, and baseball there are time outs (a limited number, yes, and usually used for different reasons in each of those sports, but still, a coach/manager can stop play to talk w players). Prior to a match does a manager lay out all the responses the team will make to changes the other manager could make? To all players? Or does the manager only talk to the center back, say, concerning possible defensive adjustments?
Upamecano had to much responsabilitise, thats why hè did non defend properly, but still Man City was incredible with that team-work
Bro you should be a coach
Chelsea needs you😂😂😂
Akanji is Akanji best player 10/10
The result would have been 1-0, were it not for Upamecano having a crazy day and help out the city to get two more goals…!!!…It is hard to imagine how Bayern can come back from three goals deficit.
Stones has been bossing his new double pivot role. I've missed Rodri's rockets. Ruben Dias was next level….. Haaland's build up play keeps improving I'm happy about that. Alvarez would be a star in any other team and I have high hopes for him, He could replace Kevin if he isn't fit in the second leg. All in all it was a good performance all round.
The 3241 formation at city is a piece of art
what is the name of the software used
Where can we get the touchscreen you are using ?
Bro u missed alot of the tactics..
Especially the tactics of Rodri and stones and musiala..
Then with city have 4 CBs when defending and stones being a DM when they have possession..
Purist football actually did a better job on it than u..
I think tuchels is overrated
Juve vs sporting
The removal of KDB for Alvarez was key.
I saw 2 of your recent videos after a long time and felt that you have been focusing more on 'what went right' for the losing team.
There's not any important tactics. Bayern's balls didn't touch the net and city's balls touched net , and upamecano, good player in bad day. But, This is football . Man. City won . Important thing for Bayern and for other teams was Changing the couch . That was very strange especially in this times .
5:41 The game was lost when Bayern was in possession. So true.
bro, city has the far superior players, so stop with the tactics bullshit.
bernardo, kdb, gundogan and rodri are all great tactically, technically and have great work rate and haaland is haaland.
so it doesnt really matter what the other 6 idiots do on the pitch and it matters even less what the bald headed moron does from the sidelines unless he tries a false goalkeeper role or smthn to shoot himself in the dick.
oh, and they also have nuclear options on the bench like alvarez and mahrez.
I absolutely disagree with this Tuchel-style attacking. Bayern's strength relies on the wingers but in this match…
I really wanted to see the centre back to DM instead of fullback to DM and he did it perfectly
City was great. But Upamecano cost us the match. I hope Bayern gives a good fight at the Allianz arena.
Nagelsmann or Tuchel they were never gonna beat Man City and Pep
U missed what happened when Alvarez came on and the press was much better
OK 👍👍👌
I think Tuchel made some mistakes that weren't identified. There was a large phase of the 2nd half where Bayern went to 451 and that meant they didn't have enough forwards to effectively press City's back 3. City ran riot from this phase through the end of the game. The fluid front 4 of very redundant wide forwards created problems as they never got the buildup right and it was difficult for the players to pin down who was at fault and what to fix. Coman and Musiala were allowed to lose the ball from central positions a lot. I think basically Tuchel mis-roled a lot of the front 4. I also don't understand why Bayern never passed to Goretzka despite playing in a double 6. It meant Bayern always started play on the near flank to Kimmich and rarely switched play despite dominating on the flanks throughout the game.
This dude was just analyzing bayern
Pep us the 3-2-4-1(3-2-5) like the Hungarian "Golden Team" in '50….
😏😌
If you ehead with buyer munchen, you don,t have to change players, you lose agains with madrid because to changed players in the final last minutes.
Bayern were too deep and player who are often fast/sprint player have difficulty Marking or falling back to help the defense… We see that with mbappe always.
Your analysis was on point, Pep didn’t outclass Tuchel like many see it, actually Bayern played really well, but both coaches tactically neutralised each other, the only difference is that Bayern made more mistakes while City were more clinical.
I'm just hearing about how good Bayerns tactics were in this game, but they lost 3-0 and it wasn't a mistake as you alleged in the video. I think you should go watch the game again Bayern was definitely struggling
first time here, great video! hope i can give some feedback:
would make the video much nicer if it had actual clips from the game as examples. thanks!
Semi finals Manchester City vs Real Madrid
All that banging on about tuchels tactical genius and the way he figured out different avenues to get around city’s press only for him to get battered 3-0 😂
As mush I hate to see this. I wish Bayern make a comeback like Madrid did last year.
what is that 2d map software
