  1. For the guy that mentioned defense when talking about De'Aaron Fox as if it's a negative of his, he clearly has never watched a Kings game. Fox is an elite defender

  2. I'm not mad at J.J. selections. I have played and watched the NBA since the days of Russell and West. The eyeball test tells me that Jrue Holliday deserves a place. His defense and the way he kept the Bucks in first place is clear. A great 2 way player.

  3. JJ, I usually don't double check your numbers but you were way off on this one… there are 8 guys with 70+ games played in the top 20 scorers, not 4 🤨

  4. Regarding positions I would put, Luka, Tatum, Giannis, Jokic and Embiid first team

  5. These awards need to be given to coaches GMs and players. Not hating on JJ’s list but most media guys can’t seem to vote without being unbiased. Same thing as All-Star selections

  6. Nah, Luka is first team. It looks like weve completely forgotten about the first 58 games of the season, and made decisions based on the last 24? make it make sense.

  7. 53 games played definitely not close enough to 55 to get a nod after making first team last year. Seems arbitrary to me.

  8. Love the care he shows in voting but jalen Brunson deserved some love but there are way too many guards to pick from

  9. All I hear about NBA is that it’s positionless and it’s for novices to understand the game. Now JJ wants to tell us that we have to abide by some position rules? Cmon man!

  10. Where is James Harden in these lists man? How did Harden become so underrated all of a sudden, man turned into one of thr best point guards this year and is shooting 40% for three!!’

  11. that third team would take the other two teams to the woodshed ngl, bron dame and steph?!?!?! give me two trash cans and a Labrador as 6th man and they still win a title lol

  12. Replace Tommy with someone who isn’t just gonna give bland, surface level takes please

  13. 1st. 2nd. 3rd
    brown. Luka. Fox
    Mitchell. shai. Steph
    Giannis. JJJ. Lebron
    Tatum. Randle. Pascal
    Embid. jokic. Sabonis

  14. Idk how you can value winning and not pick Randle over Lauri. Randle's numbers are better, he played 10 more games, and the Jazz have the 9th worst record. Would like to hear this explained.

  15. Games played is the reason statistical awards like scoring, rebounding, assists etc should be counted totals… like every other team sport because availability and consistency should be rewarded. Yes I’m a biased Celtics fan and JT should be the scoring champ

  16. JJ is so based it's crazy. For those of you wondering how Stephen Curry and Booker didn't make his first or second team All-NBA it's due to games played which is a reasonable criteria. Curry only played 56 games (Missed 26 games) and Booker only played 53 games. (Missed 29 games)

  17. When healthy, the following five would be the most dangerous team in my opinion:

    1. Steph
    2. KD
    3. Embiid
    4. Giannis
    5. Tatum

I don't see any other 5 guys beating this lineup. Perfect combination of outside shooting, slashers, paint threat, and rim protector. Steph can be maybe beaten off the ball by another point guard, but would have plenty of long help.

Replacing any one of those guys with any one of Jokic, Mitchell, SGA, Luka, LeBron, Brown, Booker, Fox, Sabonis, Kawhi, or Morant would not be an improvement to that lineup, though it would make an incredible full roster.

  18. Embiid will clearly win MVP this year, because the natural vibe is that it's "his turn", especially in his scoring-title season. Giannis and Jokic have already won twice each. Comparing actual statistics is besides the point, since each of the three excelled in his own way. "Best player on best team" will not apply here, since Embiid will likely not be able to carry the Sixers past both the Celtics and Bucks.

  19. I just think AD deserves the All-Nba 3rd team nod over Sabonis. I understand Sabonis has the winning point on his side, being the third seed. But AD dominated this season both offensively and defensively. 27 and 13 to Sabonis' 19/12/7. AD is the main reason the Lakers went from 13th to 7th. AD also hit the 55 game threshold, he played 56 games.
