Hahahaha my golfing buddies say I hit it too far. My response is simple. You can never be too fast and hit it too long! I have done these drills to learn how to rotate my body more effectively and also learn to use the ground to add more vertical force. Given enough reps I learned to repeat all with good effect. Lead foot forward and feet together produce closer results.

I either put my feet together or the trail leg back and on the toe when I completely lose my rhythm and when I’m striking it bad when I go to the range one of the best drills ever really sorts my timing out and slows my back swing down . I have a very narrow stance when I play normally I strike the ball so much better on the course and hit it further than a wide stance . But really have to concentrate on rhythm or I’ll fall over . When my stance gets wider without me realising I start playing bad golf . I always get people saying man your stance is very narrow you should stand wider fir more power 🙄 then I rip one down the fairway 😂😂😂
I use the feet together drill when I’m struggling with my long irons. It helps me find a better strike.
We were taught to hit the ball with feet together for timeing.

I started doing these drills with speed stick feet together give me best results
I have used the front foot forward drill for improved balance. I'll give this a go at the range today.
I am a lefty so my lead foot and it has given me best contact for my irons.

Used them and found I’m centre to front post. Always thought I was a rear post golfer before this test. Now I stand with my feet closer together in the golf swing, which minimises lateral movement and concentrate on rotation. Best to do this on a launch monitor and look at smash factor and swing speed to really understand the best condition for you.
Done them all some years ago before ground forces were a hot topic. If I remember rightly, feet together was the hardest for me. Can't remember whether standing on left foot or right foot was better but this was an interesting topic, so will try them again next time I hit some balls.

I have done that drill, but it's been forever. I used to start all my warm-ups with that. Always felt like it was a great ground interaction reference. Ball-then-turf bottom of the swing.
My warm up starts with half swings and feet together.

Love the lead foot drill with the irons… I feel like the strike is crisper and I like it crispy! Feet together I usually hit it OK. Rear foot is a no go for me. LOL. Love the play introduced with all three. Finding that power… Awesome Coach!
