Joe Devine, Jon Mackenzie, Seb Stafford-Bloor and Reuben Pinder are here to talk about some football.

We tried to make sense of a mental game at Anfield as Arsenal took a point away at Liverpool.

Frank Lampard is back at the Bridge just in time to steer Chelsea to a 1-0 defeat to Wolves.

Bruno Fernandes played deeper in midfield for Manchester United in their 2-0 win over Everton, we looked at that because we found it interesting.

Seb Stafford-Bloor joined us from Germany to guide us through the latest twist in the ongoing saga that surrounds the ownership of Newcastle United.

The Pinder-Mackenzie derby saw Leeds take the lead but get blown away 5-1 by Roy Hodgson’s resurgent Crystal Palace.

Plus Wrexham won the top of the table clash in the National League including a lovely goal from John Bostock and some goalkeeping heroics by Ben Foster.

Oh and we teach Joe how to pronounce quite a few words…

  1. Man imaginĂŠ being nude on your room and Dean Smith storms in to let you know that he's managing Leicester, what an honour

  2. Fair enough, the official reacted, but Robertson shouldn't have put his hands on him to begin with! If that guy looses his job, then Robertson should hang his head in shame!
I can also assure you no top player would take the option to get in to a fist fight on the pitch…how many of them model for men's grooming products and what not now?!? They ain't letting angry opponents near their money making mushes! Can you imagine the Liverpool team advertising Nivea grooming products with black eyes and split lips?!

  3. no talk about how villa are 6th or watkins’ form ? i just want representation i am greedy

  4. Jon Mackenzie explaining the etymology of the word 'neek' is not what I was expecting from todays podcast.

  5. Bit annoyed there was no mention of the quality buildup for both Liverpool goals, lots of “oh isn’t zinchenko good in build up” and “oh Trent AA defensive liability” but no mention of how well TAA did for the equalizer

  6. Well done! You guys are such a breath of fresh air in my week. I live in Mauritius and listen to you every week on my daily commute to work. Thanks

  7. Reuben is smart, but he can't play along in the banter, and it just comes off as pretentious. Can't say I'll miss him when JJ comes back.

  8. Glad to see tifo can still find the time for a reach around for big teams that are shite.

In relation to PiF/Newcastle, the CEO/chair of PiF is always a member of the Saudi Government. This isn't a surprise and is stated plain as day.

  9. Any and All talk about government intervention with regards to NUFC is irrelevant in my opinion. The issues were clearly to do with piracy of PL footbal through BeoutQ. As soon as that was resolved the deal went through. I think any talk about government intervention was merely a red herring to disguise the fact the the PL care far more about PL profitability than human rights and the Saudi Government especially considering there were no rules in place regarding state ownership of football clubs.

  10. Ruben proving himself the voice of generation by knowing Bez due to peep show. Wasn't sold on the kid before that comment but what a man he is.
