How To Curve The Ball

Understanding how to curve the ball on demand is an incredibly important skill to develop in the pursuit of shooting lower scores. Experimenting and building awareness of start line and curve control and the variables that affect, will only make you a better golfer. In this instance, I am hitting a large hook to avoid the rock out in front of me. To do this, I aim the club face where I want the ball to start and shift my body alignment in the direction in which I want my ball to curve away from (hook = aim more to the right then where the face is aiming). Ensure that your clubface stays in its original position and then swing along your body line. This deflecting blow will cause the ball to have an increase in side spin; and in this instance, create a large hook. Have some fun with it!
