  1. Does anyone think that there will be demonstrations or displays by die hard PGA fans at The Masters?

Certainly the PGA indirectly at least has encouraged, albeit indirectly, the hard feelings against LIV.

  2. I can save world wide Golf with your help! Never will happen.
I offered something like this once before. A certain city that won't be named had a great international Jazz Festival until the people running it ran it into the ground into a third rate Jazz Festival. I kind of offered, but not to the right people, to save the Jazz Festival. They thought I was kidding. I was not. I am not a Jazz fan, but we had a great Jazz Festival. Never would have happened and did not of course.

  3. Cam Smith at 5th or so is pretty damned high! Come on, man! To quote a famous, but not one of the best, Presidents.

  4. I'm going to be hitting the $20 Billion Dollar Powerball soon. Then I will buy the PGA Tour (in one fashion or another) and will meet with all the major organizations including LIV and stop the PGA bull crap and get everyone together. You guys are 100% correct. LIV is good for Golf and really for the PGA. But it is human nature. But those few people at the top of the PGA refuse to see it or maybe they can't – maybe they are blind, so to speak. I've seen stuff like this so many times over the years in various organizations. Nothing new under the Sun! Power corrupts or at least usually screws thing up to say the least.

  5. Would not pay $1 to watch a 47 year old hit golf balls on a simulator. Let alone gamble on it, cause they will be the sponsors.

  6. Gary Player is an old man with a chip on his shoulder. You guys may think he,s respected in the EU but thats just American talk.

  7. When you say “by golf, we mean pro golf” you are showing exactly what is wrong with how people in the golf establishment think about golf.

  8. 1) majors are on right track by allowing players from all tours to be eligible to play, 2) OWGR gives ranking points to all professionals (board members who have a conflict not being forced to recuse is not helping), or 3) LIV does it’s own algorithm that makes OWGR obsolete

  9. I don't think Greg Norman is going to help matters, apparently he wants all the liv players to be jumping about the 18th green if a liv player wins, my take on it is Norman wants celebrations in his name as he couldn't win it

  10. Gary player is having a meltdown with his two sons trying to screw him out of money and can't pay his taxes, one sone trying to sell golf balls at the masters and is banned from there, player himself crying about having to play with a member at Augusta with his family, it's the rules at Augusta, player is now bad mouthing Augusta

  11. Gary Player is sponsored by Saudi Golf. I would guess he has a bias. Now Phil has issues that are many. Let’s remember what Arnie would want. Good luck to resolving this riff. It is all about power, money and greed.

  12. Golf isn’t failing because the sport is no longer relevant. Golf is failing because the regular people in the world are getting their butts kicked in life.

  13. I know you don’t charge for this but can I get my time back. It took you guys like an hour to go over some imaginary broken telephone order. I’m guessing tiger starts a text thread and they mostly communicate with gifs.

Golf does not need to be saved. It is currently fractured because various entities see how much money is in the sport. Over time things will continue to change. But golf at the highest level is clearly on the rise.

Nfl Football has issues but it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

18 LIv players are qualified. Now everyone knows this.

As I mentioned elsewhere Faldo has used his cbs platform and others since to be very against LIv. It’s really that simple.

The Ryder cup will be fine as well. Although close observers will know it’s not all the best together…until hopefully they do come together again some day. Probably sooner than later once the owgr includes the Liv accomplishments.

I don’t believe these meetings you go on and on and on about will do as much as nature taking it’s course. Business.

Over time LIv guys will be on the pga tours elevated events and more of the top guys on Tour will play LIv.

The euro tour like most other tours will be what it is, a regional tour of sorts for up and coming players, some stars that decide to stick around despite less money (as happens in Korea with women), and maybe some veterans returning home in their 40s.

The tomorrow sports obsession is ridiculous. I’m wondering if that will even last very long. Tomorrow sports is not taking over the pga tour. That is just nonsense thinking.

I had to watch this on 4 quarters it was so indigestible compared to past shows. I would not go over 45 min. 30 would be ideal so you guys are more concise—I know we are watching u tube but you should respect viewers time more than this slow vaguely organized ramble. Some people may be impressed but i had to watch a few basic facts being guessed about while breaking down for an hour what could have taken 5 minutes.

And then the mower. It’s happened past shows. You can edit further so we don’t even have to hear the mower coming. But really gonna have to time it better. Cause it also distracts the flow of your conversation which makes it less digestible for the audience.

  14. Golf is struggling? Get a grip. It's simple. Don't be sheep at the mercy of the media and 'politicians' like Jay Monahan and Fred Couples. 🐑

  15. Golf needs a business model revolution, why professional golfers are the ideal candidates to run it is a bizarre notion, let's face it Tiger and Rory couldn't manage their way out of a paper bag ! And contrary to opinion they are not adored religiously around the globe. I love the current noise and believe there will be a coming together however it won't be a sacking of Greg and his funds .. more likely a realisation by the PGA and Tigers and his puppet that they can't rule the world…. because they won't spend there own money and corporate America is loosing patience… if you want to be president you got to spend… LIV needs to be socialised with and America needs to realise its a global sport….

  16. Anyone else watch more YouTube golf now than professional golf?

I watch golf on YouTube every day, haven’t turned professional golf on in ages

  17. The PGAT and the golf establishment are being driven by ideology. Ideologues are almost exclusively fixated with marginalizing and destroying their ideological enemy. They do not have a positive outlook. The whole idea that the PGAT etc want to save world golf is BS. The Thinking Man Show fundamentally does not understand what is now happening in the world of golf. It is quite possible that the PGAT will go broke as a result of their obsession with defeating LIV Golf. The R&A and The Masters are 100% supporting this mentality. And all of them are convinced that LIV will die so they have zero thought about any downside.

  18. I'm curious if you guys watched the golf TV series "Full Swing". There are some entertaining segments throughout. and starts of excellent covering Spieth and Thomas, but it's difficult to stomach at times… it paints LIV in a horrible light and gives the most dreadful edits to the guys who went over to LIV and the final episode or two is disgusting the way they put Mcilroy on this perfect pedestal. I couldn't even finish watching the final episode it got so blatantly redic.

  19. Again, another good thoughtful podcast. I have an issue with the image of the Masters tourney being put forward by most media. Apparently, the memory of the Masters tourney as the most overt racist club and organization in America until just a couple of decades ago. People forget the extreme measures Bobby Jones did to omit any person of diversity being participating or joining. Shame on those who forget. Beautiful scenery does not alter the facts of history.

  20. Well, based on the rumours…Liv players lost the arbitration. Who is surprised…only you guys.

  21. Golf on a simulator ain't cheaper that the local muni. You still need clubs and beer. Maybe balls are cheaper.

  22. LIV Golfers have absolutely No Pressure on them. It’s the PGA Tour and their big players (That are at the Top of the PiP ladder) that have all the pressure. I’ll be surprised if there aren’t any LIV players in the Top 5, with Cam Smith having the best chance at a Green Jacket.

  23. Get a grip…seriously. Golfers, all over the world, save golf! Golf is not in crisis! The pompous, arrogant, bloated, inflated Augusta National and it's annual funfest full of ex-winners will not save golf. What won't save Professional Golf is the media (you guys incld) promoting negativity! Promote GOLF not morons with big mouths.

  24. sounds defeatist lefty zombiewoke claptrap just infiltrated the schtudio?
who`s writing your NARRATIVE ??? shut up stop talking woke drivel

  25. Technology has killed ( phones) the wonderful world of golf so sad i was and avid golfer for life and yearned for masters every year ! my age and hip problems has done me in (80)years young ! Thanks for you both talking it over great ! If it stayed at two days a week on TV Two days . Saturday Sunday . Thursday, Friday,, Cable like it was 15 — 20 years ago It was good Its not coming back . For me anyway. Top golfers in PGA should have kept it together , but money talks and they listened !!

  26. Tiger is the enemy of the PGA tour? Are you kidding me? He IS the PGA tour. He's the one pulling the strings. Who do you think pushed for the ban on LIV players? He is taking this very personally. He was offered a billion dollars by LIV and turned it down to stay with PGA. Tiger is driving the PGA. Unfortunately, he's driving it the same way he drives his car.
