it's gotta be a**nal, man city, united and newcastle. they're the four best teams this season. next season's going to be a cracker though with almost 9-10 teams fighting for top 4

I would love to see both teams play in Europe next season. Perhaps the sleeping giants are beginning to wake up.

Brighton in with a shout, villa not a chance of top 4 at this stage. Top 6 possible for villa

Thanks to Potter leave Brighton now they are the most entertaining team after Arsenal

Yeah, we're nowhere near Champions League, forget that. Any form of European qualification would be a bonus this season. Considering where we were when Emery came in, just a top half finish would be an achievement. Next couple of games (Forest & Newcastle at home) are huge for us and will show how much potential there really is in our run in.

Still over 30 points to play for. Anything can happen.

5th for Brighton, 6th for Spurs and 7th for Villa

…..nahhhhh, it’s really looking like both Arsenal and City no doubt have a spot in the UCL. Now whether who gets first and second place is unknown but with certainty their both headed their. Third and fourth place…to me I think United and Newcastle have the third and fourth spot with fifth place having either Tottenham or Brighton to fill it (hope Brighton fill that europa league spot)

I can’t believe we gone from the days of Vicente,Schelotto, Kayal, Dickinson and Zamora(legends in my book) to the cusp of European football.

As a villa fan it’s a dream this title even exists

I love the villa and things are really positive at the moment but were not champions league standards by a long way. Europe conference league would do for now and build from there. UTV

I and many other fans would say changing the manager may have a little bounce but doesn't fix inherent problems. Well Emery has proven otherwise and got Villa working well and getting results.
Brighton on the other hand had their well loved manager snatched early in the season and with RDZ coming in, we feared the worst. But it has got even better on the south coast.
Brentford when they lost Eriksen, I thought he should have stayed, I feared the shine would come off a solid team. But they are still doing well and good luck to them.
Yes Newcastle have got a few players in, but not the cash spaffing of City, or especially Chelsea. So Newcastle, Brentford, Villa and Brighton all deserve a shot at European football.

I really don't think Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea have done enough to earn a European spot.

This must be the stupidest question. They have to get ahead of Tottenham first who are far ahead in points

  15. Darren Staddon 3 years ago

No disrespect to Brighton as what they have achieved so far is amazing and would be great for them to get in to Europe and yes they are ahead of us still in the league!! We did beat them at their place earlier this season and they have got to come to Villa on the last day.
I can remember maybe 15-20 years ago we played them in a cup match at Villa Park and their fans were so excited before the game, taking pics of the stadium and with Villa fans, it was like their Wembley!
Best possible scenario for me is Villa miraculously get in the Champion’s League (massive hill to climb) and Brighton get in the Europa! UTV

Villa doing amazing but they need to push to beat tougher teams if they want Europe. It’s possible if we can push and beat the tougher fixtures.

As a Villa fan, this is the proudest I’ve been of the club since our 2007/10 days when we finished 6th in the prem 3 years in a row. Unai has done an incredible job with this group of players and I can’t wait until the return of Diego Carlos in the backline.

Speaking in terms of Brighton, I could tell a few seasons ago that they were a team with some serious upside about them. There were so many games a couple of seasons ago that they completely dominated in but they just couldn’t get results. From that point on, you could just tell that as soon as they added a few players into that squad and became more clinical infront of goal, they’d be a top half of the table side. I didn’t expect them to be going as well as they have been this year however. It’s been a great watch 💪🏾🔥

    No.

Brighton looks more likely than Villa but I think it's safe to say that they're going to UEL and UECL.

  21. Richard Holmes 2 years ago

As a villa fan both clubs are flying right now. Would great for Brighton as it would be their first time and for us the villa it's all about Europe.

What a dumb question, obviously not

  28. Oli Thompson 2 years ago

No, not any more for Brighton, It seems the ref was paid off against Spurs

  29. Jon Taylor 2 years ago

It's quite obvious the officials and premier League do not want Brighton to win any spot in the top 4.
My proof is that they had to apologize for officials rigging three matches this season. Between this VAR crap in the obvious corruption by the officials and the governing body, You have lost the trust of fans.😢
