Awesome breakdown but a sample comparison of 5 to 10 shots with each club and a chart showing typical ball & club data with dispersion would’ve made this much better.
Would love to see a comparison of the ZXII FW/Hybrids with the G430 line performance wise. Slower swing mid HC here and would welcome your thoughts…
Hi Mark Great Video👍, being a senior golfer with slower swing speed (70mph) I use both, Rescue 4(22) & 7Wood (21)deg loft, get 160yards with R4 & 170yards with 7W, Like using them both👍, And get a lower flight & more run with Rescue, And higher flight with 7Wood, if I could only have one club it would be the 7Wood more versatile, Great info Mark, Thanks Dickey 9hcp 75year Senior Golfer
Golfers tend to let tradition and manufacturers restrict them to golf club norms and not to think laterally. That is why it took many decades before hybrids were created and became mainstream. So there is nothing to stop one to take a seven wood and put in an appropriate four hybrid or other length shaft in it, or even vice versa with four hybrid and seven wood shaft! If it works for the correct gapping distance required and it gives consistently good results and suits your eye, that is all you want!
7 wood definitely got one in the bag 🏌🙂👍Well done mark 👏
great video….I am leaning to the 7 wood….cheers from Canada
7 wood hands down, never stood over a hybrid that I didn't think, "that's really ugly" and that effects ones' shot. Far more useful than the 3 and/or 4 iron the 7 replaces.
Heck, throw in a 9 wood too while you are at it. They are super confidence-inspiring, and don't seem to be a draw biased as most hybrids.
4 hybrid for me. Prefer the shorter shaft and perceived increased control this gives me. Perception is everything 😂
Great video! I prefer hybrid due to shorter shaft for more control. My driver and 3 wood are shorter than standard. Gained distance with them due to contact with better spots on the face.
I have a 20.5 degree 7 wood and a 23 degree hybrid can over lap a bit but gives me options at 200+
in the 23 degrees I stay with my hybrid. but my 18 degrees hybrid I took out of my bag and replaced it with a 5W and I am happy with that
I think it is a shame that the golf industry and the golf retailers really do not promote higher lofted fairway woods. At most of the golf retailers in the United States, you are lucky if you can find a higher lofted fairway wood (7W and above) on the shelf in even a regular flex shaft. You will have an easier time finding a unicorn than ever finding one with a stiff or extra stiff shaft.
Most of the demo carts or demo days won’t even have higher lofted fairway woods, or if they do, they will be 99.99% of the time be in senior or ladies flex.
I am signed up for a Callaway demo event this Saturday and I’m interested in higher lofted fairway woods. I will be shocked if they have any, and even more so if any of the ones they do have anything other than a senior or ladies flex.
Can always rely on Mark to give the sensible angle
As always I enjoy your video's Mark, I use both 7 and 24 degree hybrid, now that i am getting up there in years my swing speed has really slowed down so i just can't hit the 3 and 4 irons.
Can you please tell me if I have the 7 wood reduced by 1/2 inch when ordered do they add more weight elsewhere to keep the same swing weight …many thanks
Strange to do a video comparing two clubs but only showing one of them
Lol top of my bag goes D/4w/7w/4i and it gaps exactly 20 yards apart for each step
Is it ok to carry both a 4hy and 7w?
