This is so far the only video where everything makes sense 😮
I find it odd that you say Will’s grip is unusual. That was exactly how I was taught to grip the disc and I always thought it was normal. I can’t imagine the arm strain of trying to throw nose down with the disc set above the index finger.
Great content. Very insightful and proved effective in my game. Thank you 🙏🏻

I wish you had the mic for your call with Josh. Huge change in audio
Super nit picky but can you move the mic to the side? Not being able to see the bottom half of your face is distracting haha. Thanks for the great vid!
Your more advanced than myself. One thing that helped me is to not drop the heal on off foot during x step. This helps my rotation/brace/shift. I notice you drop the heal. I find this creates a brief stop in momentum. If your on the back foot ball n toes you have to drop into plant then it’s one leg drill from that point. I kinda bounce up on the back foot then drop the plant foot. At that point I’m throwing n rotating on the front leg n hips and bag leg is a counterweight.
If I was Overthrow, I'd be a little mad. You paid for lessons from me and then gave them for free to everyone else on your channel. Like buying an album and letting all your friends make copies of it.
you are a really cool golfer to look at!
im new to discgolf and i wonder if your left fot should be sliding like that in the throw, ive herd you should try to lift it from dthe ground so you dont lose speed
awsome work tho!
Great that you’re making improvements. Really instructive to see the progress.
I just gripped the disc and the will grip felt natural. I also pinch the disc with my fingertips rather than my finger pads. I’d recommend that if it feels good. I asked Ezra and he said that plenty of pros grip with their finger tips rather than their finger pads.
Great video Bodanza, so happy you were able to share this coaching session 🙂
Aye! Looking good now! Looks like OTD got your weight moving towards the front – instead of diagonally. Nice! You'll get there bud. Have a fun season – that's the most important thing. I think your scramble game is strong. Now with the added distance, I think you'll enjoy this season more. Take your high percentage shots and shave some throws of your average. It's okay to be discouraged – but rise above all that noise and beat it.
15:38 😮looking great now 😊 knew you’re gonna figure it out eventually, keep on it 🥏🔥⛳️
Showing us feet from yourself and Josh for free??? You're a generous man Mr. Bodanza
I also had grip issues in controlling nose angle! I found that using a three finger grip (dropping the pinkie) when throwing drivers allowed me find that extra range of motion in the wrist. It also makes front loading my grip far more comfortable, as I can do it without feeling any forearm strain. This might primarily have to do with wrist mobility or hand size.
Where did you get your net?
You’ll get there eventually man practice with lower speed discs like fairway drivers so it shows your flaws. And I understand your trying to get good as fast as you can, but small piece of advice listen more and talk less when being coached . Just my thoughts take them of leave them. Keep up the hard work
What’s the need for throwing 400’ consistently? How many holes are you actually playing that are 400’+? It’s not about how Far you can throw. Stock Hyzer? Overstable? Maybe start with something under stable, and teach yourself how to throw the Flex shot. Let the discs work for you, not the other way around. I was a stock Hyzer flipper, but couldn’t get the angles right, and the distance lagged, so switched some things up a little bit. Now I just fly over everything with ease.
Wow, thanks for the tip on grip and front load. 👍🏽I went and tried it. Immediately I noticed more spin, distance and snap. Keep posting. Love the vids and your journey.
3:05 Yes, that grip changed everything for me, saw it in a Paul Ulibarri clinic.
I kept loading pressure on from my middle to pinky fingers, and not as much pointer finger (an issue learned from fan gripping).
The grip starting in the bottom palm, with fingers wrapped (pointer first, then other fingers follow) produces a more parallel plane to the Earth.
After adopting this grip, my nose up issue was cured and consistancy has increased dramatically for angles.
Help me understand your project here. You want to play pro circuit and you are currently trying to tweak and extend your form to squeak out a consistent 400ft which I presume means full power throw with your body? How are you going to sustain your joint health on a pro tour level daily grind? Seems like you would instead want to figure out the science of strength/conditioning/nutrition/rest cycles to get stronger. It seems the pros can throw 400ft consistently while using 50-60% power and very middle of the road form effort? In 10-15yrs your body will show you about joint deterioration and strain and it isnt fun. Play smart now and your future you will thank you.
I’ve been playing for 2.5 yrs and the grip discussed in the beginning is actually the grip I taught myself, and really really helped me throw nose down and gain extra distance. 🤙🤙 kinda cool will does this considering we have the same build (long and lengthy) I’m just a bit heavier.
Don't be sorry for using the baddest disc ever made. The destroyer kicks butt!
