  1. I will never understand why he wants so much money. At the end of the day millions of dollars is millions of dollars 😂

  2. IDGAF about Lamar….. at this point I hope he never signs and let’s his ego destroy his career

  3. Avoid Lamar like the plague at this point. He is not worth the money and compensation. The only team he makes sense for right now is the Ravens and at quite a bit less than he wants.

  4. Lamar isn't worth what he wants, but it may still be advantageous to overpay him, because when he's on form, he's just that good.

The problem is, most teams are completely content with their QB situation. Either they've got their guy, need to test young blood, or are going to draft someone.

Who wants him that he also wants?
    – Colts are interesting and could choose not to chance the draft, but don't have great WRs and they seem to like their draft chances
    – Titans could scrap Tannehill, but have no good WRs and outside of Henry need to rebuild
    – As much as they'd like to Denver can't sack Russ yet, they need to at least play out 2023-24
    – Commanders could give up on the Sam Howell dream and give Lamar a possibly elite receiving room, but they seem uninterested. Might need to hear more from Washington fans because this move would seem to make you theoretical SB contenders with a non-Walmart QB throwing to Scary Terry
    – Vikings aren't really in a position to make a move for Lamar
    – Falcons have a good receiving room but aren't "win now" even with Lamar and have Ridder
    – Bucs are the same as Falcons but with Trask
    – Rams are shockingly intriguing; could sack the farm again to get Lamar to Kupp connection but I believe they're also not "win now" even with Lamar

So. Who wants him? Even at his dollar, last season or the one before you might’ve had someone. But this time? Tough cookies. Better hope you can chew.

  5. I would be absolutely ELATED to trade away a guy who quit on the team in the playoffs

  6. Crazy how the tide turned on this one: a few weeks ago everybody in these comments(including Tom and Perna!) said "PAY THE MAN!!". Now the majority seems to think quite different. I as a Ravens fan think a deal should've been made 1-2 years ago(and both sides are at fault for not getting it done back then), but NOW he's not nearly worth that much money. But obviously I still hope a trade will get done and we'll get something nice for him, but idk if that will happen. I wouldn't trade for him if I was another team…

  7. It doesn't actually have to be 2 1sts if he signs the tag. The only reason it would have to be 2 1sts is if the team wants to bypass the ravens all together. Lombardi explained it pretty well on the mcaffee show a few weeks ago

  8. Desean just signed his deal then wanted out . Then his legal problems hit Houston paid him to stay home then traded him the following year. Just a thought guys.

  9. Trade for the 32nd overall pick and then sign Lamar to an offer sheet.

  10. I’d cry if Lamar went to the patriots. I don’t want to see my qb play for a team I’ve despised for decades

  11. I still dislike Aaron Rodgers more than I dislike Lamar Jackson. I have no love for the owners, either, but you can't pay one guy a third of your cap, even if he's not sitting on IR.

  12. Am I the only one that thinks that Lamar is NOT worth a Max Contract (I know there is no such thing in the NFL, but you understand what I mean…)?

This honestly seems to me like he is trying to break the bank all based on his 1 great season.
He hasn't really done much since that one year.

    Just my opinion.
Now, if there are any Ravens fans here who disagree, please enlighten me on what he has done to warrant a Top Tier contract.

  13. Someone please correct/educate me if I'm understanding this wrong, but what's stopping teams from waiting until after the draft to make the offer to Lamar and giving up their 1 round pick in 2024 and 2025? It would be similar to what Tom suggested. If I'm Atlanta, I'm calling up Buffalo and offering them the #8 pick this year in exchange for Buffalo's #27, #59, and maybe their 4th or 5th this season and 2nd and 4th for 2024. At the same time, I'm offering Lamar a 7 yr/340M deal with 100M as signing bonus, cap hits of 42, 43, 45, 48, 51, 54, and 57M. It's good for Lamar because it's essentially 190M guaranteed, he gets out of Baltimore, and he has some decent targets along with a winnable division while being good for Atlanta because the the latest Falcons could get out and save cap space after only 3 seasons.

  14. Grossi and Perna are just mad that lamar isn't as good as advertised and the chiefs quietly winning free agency

  15. funniest thing about Lamar is that he wants a fully guaranteed contract that exceeds 230M, just to put that into perspective that literally almost 1/2 the Raiders total team value that has to go into escrow which means the team literally cant use that money cause it has to be set aside. If thats your base line for your contract negotiations id let you walk cause you arnt fairly negotiating youre giving an ultimatum, just saying lol
On a different note, as a Packers fan i wouldnt want Lamar after having to deal with Diva Rodgers for all these years…dont want another Diva

  16. I've heard rumors of my Vikings wanting Lamar, but I'd rather we go after my Wildcats' Will Levis and give him a year behind Cousins. He'll make a great NFL QB.

  17. I have only had it both ends twice. One required and appendectomy. The other was……miserable

  18. Grossi doesn't know you must give up your original pick or higher (NOT lower) as compensation for restricted free agent sugnings. The Colts cannot devalue their pick. This was reported by Eisen, by Pat, by GMFB and by ESPN… too much talking, not enough listening

  19. I feel the Jets going for Lamar would make more sense to me. Lamar is younger and the Jets have a team that can win "now".

  20. as a steelers fan, i hope atlanta or whoever gets lamar lmao.

the players whos rivals fanbases hates the most is the player you gotta keep. unless its deshaun watson. there is a different reason lmao

  21. It doesn't matter how talented he is. He's careless and reckless with his body and there's no way he can last a season
