I used to love Wilsons gear, always went between them and titleist (used to have a big bertha driver when I was young separately). I love my TSi3 too much still at the moment, I just seem to have more control with it when I really chase after drives with ball speed around 195-200mph.

Been using one since September and I love it! 9 degree head. Canada though so no winter golf. 6-7 rounds plus a few indoors. Glad to hear it exceeded expectations. Great review Pete!

Pretty meaningless test , inside on a machine that has buttons to manipulate results.
Go outside , on a normal golf course , hit ten balls and have the club pro independently declare the distance , of all of them .
And if the face is collapsing , and your not allowed concave face profiles under the conforming rules of driving clubs , then it's a complete junker .

Everything you say good about this club in this video is basically wiped away when you showed the club face caved in. I doesn’t matter that you were giving it full bean, there is no way a product should damage like that from being used by consumer in the way it is designed. That’s enough for me to not even bother considering it as on option to buy.
great vid as always but seriously WTactualF …why did murph get blown up into a puff of smoke ? …was pete jealous and concerned how much attention murph would get and that nobody would be listening to him ? fair enough but still a more dignified and less traumatic exit would have been great 🙂

Might be worth testing the COR on that test model to see if it is conforming. I know that this varies in manufacturing and tour pros occasionally get caught using a club which has drifted over the limit through no fault of their own.

I completely understand the hype surrounding the Wilson Dynapower driver. It's from a historic company which faded away to almost non-existence over the years and now they have a product which can compete with the big brands in golf. However, and this is a big "However", the all-mighty capitalism has taken over and there isn't a single place in the states where you can buy the carbon version of the Dynapower for less than $499.99. So for me, the hype is completely gone. I don't care how good the club is if it's going to be in the same ballpark (cost-wise) as the other drivers. It seems outrageous for clubs to be as expensive as they are nowadays and I can't comprehend paying $530.00+ (includes tax, shipping, etc.) for a single, decent club.

Great content as always Pete. For me, the lack of forgiveness takes it out of consideration. Shame too…I would have loved to put a Wilson club in my bag.

I tried out the Carbon at the PGA store here in Utah, 9 degree head turned down to 8. x-stiff 60g Project-X Black RDX… I fell in love with it. The sound is amazing. I was looking at the Paradym, but I am going to get the Wilson instead.

Wilson/Staff are not Wilson box sets, just like Callaway are not Strata box sets. Disappointing to see someone like Pete still making that incorrect assumption.
