The audio isn’t great but a good race. Enjoy!

  1. Once again you gotta feel for DC. Absolutely flying and would've had a major chance of winning that and once again he suffers the bad luck. He was always good at Monza. Gotta love those chicanes at the start instead of the crap that it is now. Thanks for this BZ. Brilliant once again. Murray was just epic 👌🏻

  2. "Ker sch Schumacher is going for the lead at la Roggia, amd he's right up alongside and he's going through, fantastic, Hakkinen fight back, this is magnificent, the lead changes twice in about 400 yards and Michael Schumacher leads the Italian Grand Prix."

  3. To be honest, these 1998 cars look like magnificent works of art compared to the new 2023 cars. I could watch videos of F1 from 1991 to 2006 over and over.
Thank you once again for sharing these gems

  4. I love VHS. Any format that believes 75% of the replay should be audio is okay in my book.
Big Z. You know. Appreciate you brother.

  5. Ok Big Zee. I was loving the VHS recording. Then i fought with my headphones and replaced them twice trying to nake the crackly sounds go away. (I thought my cord was buggy).
    20m and a joint later everythings fine….

  6. Fantastic race. Thank you for uploading these videos. Wish the FIA would stop taking them down, they are a part of motorsport history and should be freely available.

  7. What a relief Schumacher never had an Adrian Newey car.
Would love to have seen Ron's face after Hakkinen flew off.
McLaren really should have won both titles already.
    All hail Big Zeddie.

  8. "You give Michael Schumacher any chance at all, he'll be there quicker than a ferret up a drainpipe!"

That's why we loved you Murray Walker

  9. Amazed Coulthard got back to the [pits after retiring without having tomatoes thrown at him 🙂 (If that incident happened now Hakkinen would have held position on Schumacher as they'd have thrown at least a VSC straight away if not a full-blown safety car).

  10. Totally agree with Brundle about Jean Todt going down to warn whoever is about to be lapped. Pa.the.tic.

  11. Herbert off backwards, nothing new with Jonny. I think his last race his rear wheels fell off. Didn't have much luck but still bagged a couple of wins.

  12. Used to really irritate me when Jean Todt used to go over to other teams like a stuffy teacher and demand that they make sure their driver doesn’t get in their way. Even had to effrontery to do it to Ron Dennis in Belgium. Didn’t work out on that occasion!!

  13. Can somebody just take me back in time please ??
Out on a Friday night clubbing to the opening tune ( Paul Van Dyke – For an Angel ),etc,,to Sunday afternoon watching this,,the last great era till it went to shit,ie the look and mainly sound !

  14. Thanks for this! Very nostalgic watching it- '98 was the first season I started following F1. Having forgot the result (and being a McLaren fan) I was hoping Mika was gonna do it, just like I did as I did in '98!

  15. I cant belive how lucky was Mika flying off twice this season ,with well over 200 kmh and not staling (monza and silverstone =9 lucky points instead of zero)
