The Premier League’s reputation and credibility is at stake in how it handles the Manchester City investigation, LaLiga president Javier Tebas has said.

The league charged City last month with more than 100 financial rule violations at the end of a four-year investigation.

Tebas is a long-term critic of City and he believes along with Paris Saint-Germain that they have contributed to a distortion of the football eco-system in Europe.

  1. What about Barcelona u clown I'm a united fan but just because la liga is scrap u have a pop at the prem

  2. As a United fan I love the City scandal. But I should say, look who is talking. The man that has his back bend all the time by Barca and Real. The most uneven league in the world is La Liga. And it's chief is preaching about legitimately.

  3. Barca and Real make a killing whilst other clubs are barely profitable and competitive. No wonder no one wants to invest in the league. The juggernauts are already established thanks to the league ending over backwards to accommodate them. If la liga had any credibility, when Barca made a monumental loss, they should’ve banned them from transfers instead they let them still transfer players but not register them which makes their financials even worse

  4. Shitty has tarnished the competition.
    There are 100+ charges.

  5. He's right – the fact that a small team like City have higher revenues than Real Madrid, Bayern, United etc is an absolute farce.

  6. Hahaha "we know they breached 100 articles" no.. no you'dont. Your just annoyed the big players arent going la liga anymore and instead going to teams like city and PSG and are still crying about it many years later. The thing is the premier league credibility is shot whatever happens here. If they do hold city at fault for 100 articles then people will ask how it could happen and why it took so long and their rep will be shot to pieces but WORSE is if city are (and rightly in my opinion) found innocent of everything being accused as they will make a massive enemy of City and other clubs who will think the PL are abusing power.

Heres the facts. The whole case is based on a "leak" from hackers. These have ZERO credibility as if they could prove those "leaks" were real UEFA would have not lost the case against City. An independent team who are looking at this will as the PL to prove their accusations to which they cannot. They will ask city to show all their files and paperwork to which they can. The PL has finally made a move as they asked city to basically indict themselves by confirming the leak. City cannot do this as they are claiming the leaks were faked and thus cannot send something they simply don't have. A lot of the charges are not co-operating and this is why. Therefore I see the PL losing this case and its gonna be tbad for them.

  7. Even though i am a madrid fan, La liga trying so hard to make it mainstream but it's gone, it has ended with messi and ronaldo. There is no such interest about el clasico or any other derby. Even it has gone below par serie a

  8. Tebas you can go F yourself, along with your favorite team. Greetings from Barcelona !!!

  9. English media seems to care so much about what other Federations say for someone who claims they have the best league (i.e best teams) in the world .

  10. Is that saddo still crying? He never stops does he? He should maybe use all his (very obvious) free time looking at his own farmer's league.

    One word. Obsessed 😂

  11. He's right but he's in charge of a dying league so who tf values his opinions about running one.

  12. He is not wrong if the case goes unpunished we might as well let every crime boss in the world pick a pl club to run

  13. You want to talk about the premiership but what about the racism in your league. Your worried about things that don't concern you

  14. I swear that guy is the only person on the planet that thinks La Liga is better than The Premier League. 🤣🤣

  15. Needs to look at his own league first, their best teams are still trying to start a breakaway league and Barcelona have debt that would cripple a small country

  16. They just feel sour all the money went to premier league. Of course want to be competitive and not went extreme to be overpowered

  17. Football is ENGLISH NOW! 😂👍 IT'LL BE HILARIOUS WHEN MADRID AND BARCA ARE LESS WEALTHY THAN BRIGHTON SOON 😂😂😂😂😂

  18. Javier Tebas has a back for talking too much, as a Barca fan we're used to it. All he does is talk and make stupid financial laws

  19. They didn’t press charges on Barcelona paying refs even if they had many evidence that was true because they didn’t won’t to embarrass laliga and to be seen as one of illegal league in Europe also the racism that is happening in laliga they refuse to do something about it so please don’t talk about premier league when laliga is 10x worser
