  1. That 1iron has 18* of loft and is as long a a modern 2 iron, the club manufactures have been fooling us by making clubs longer and stronger lofted and telling us they go further when in all actuality we are just losing a club on the bottom end of the sets.

  2. Don't caption a video with "infamous" if you don't know what it means. Infamous has a negative connotation(you probably need to look that word up). This shot, however, does not.

  3. So many new clubs to choose from, nowadays, which do the same. No disrespect to Jack for using those relics and performing miracles.
Welcome to the new technology of golf.

  4. Except the 1 iron jack was using little looked like a butter knife he was really something special with those long irons

  5. I doubt very many PGA Tour Pros could hit the same 1-iron that Jack hit back then with the Titleist wound ball and get it much over 200 yards on the rollout.

  6. I think “infamous” is the wrong term, it’s got a greater association with negative events and people. An example would be “Charles Ponzi is best known for the infamous financial scheme that now bears his name”. Better just saying one of his most famous/iconic shots because he had a few magnificent 1-iron shots in his extraordinary career. In this context, you’re making it seem like there was something substantially controversial with this shot.
