I am Tom Saguto, PGA Member and founder of SagutoGolf. Thank you for visiting my instructional page where you can find how to get on the fast track to improving your golfing abilities. Whether you are a seasoned golfing veteran looking for a quick swing tune-up after an on-course emergency, or a beginner just looking to get the most out of your golfing experience, I am here to help you achieve your golfing goals.
My mission as your swing doctor is simple, to help you maximize your enjoyment in game of golf. Because, let’s face it, golf is a hard game.
My philosophy is wholly based on the student having a fun, meaningful experience in a frustrating and complicated game where potential lifelong golfers either quit because it is too difficult or that they experience some form of swing-related pain or discomfort. I mitigate these problems by focusing entirely on the student’s needs and goals while teaching a golf swing method that ultimately takes stress off of the common pain areas of the swing.

Summer of george 🎉🎉
At 3:39 into the video we see a face-on view of your setup. I looks as if you are using a very strong grip for this method of swinging. Is the strong grip part of the normal S&T setup?
I love it I'm going to be practicing that right they're nice and crispy
Mr.Saguto, why do you have a putting grip on the iron? Is it normal?
Just shut up and hit the ball ! 😎 best motivation ever ! Lol same thing hands and arms I feel they’re too low but then on camera it is all fine ! Now when it feels weird it means it’s ok 👌 I can shut up and hit the ball solid ! 💪
Good reminder and your drills are awesome TS 🕺
Excellent tips!
This golf ball will self destruct in 5 seconds😂
Your videos have got me playing the best golf of my life I struggled to break 100 a few months ago I now break 90 every time I play thanks Tom
I lock my right leg straight & slight knee bend on left leg forces weight to lead side at setup & when I swing I just naturally shift to lead side
Was very inconsistent before I found you. Could not shift weight properly and most time hit fat shots. Now hitting them crisp and clean! Working on calming my iron hooks that sneak in now and then. Thank you for your great instructions! I enrolled a couple of weeks ago to your online school. God bless
Tom one question; what about the club head being outside of the hands and parallel to the ground?
I was hitting a 7 iron maybe 125 yds with my old swing (poor contact) now with the stack and tilt Im carrying my 7 iron 155. Its unbelievable how easy golf started to be for me. Every club gained 25 to 30 yds with this technique and Im at an 8 handicap down from 23 in less than a year. Keep it up Tom its made me a much more consistent ball striker. Love it!
Omg! Can’t wait to try this. I’ve been doing exactly what you were doing. Chunking it, topping it, hitting the ground 4 inches behind the ball, no distance etc etc.
Brilliant – golf instruction – some lessons only need to be 5 minutes – love it 👍🏻🙏🏻
Great video Tom as usual. I must ask how long have you had those shoes. Seems like you've had them for a long time. 🙂🙂
Also with the driver?
Excellent video lesson! The online golf school is excellent also!
Look at those chemtrails!
This advice is terrific. I’m 67 and playing golf for a long time using traditional methods. The results after using your advice have been dramatically better. I find that the challenge is to use this new method throughout the entire round. Having done the traditional stuff for so long, it tends to leak back into the swing unless I stay laser focussed on the weight forward stuff. I’m going to use more range time to make this my “new normal”. I suspect it will take some time but hope the results will be worth the effort now that we are starting spring time in the northeast. Thanks for your clear and concise explanations and keep them coming.
I love it but I feel I reverse pivot when I try to do this…I want it to work and it makes sense!
I need a land of milk and honey reference in the next video!
3-20-23, you asked if any other lessons are opposed to the weight foreword ? YES they are and very much so. Clay Ballard, US Golf, Performance golf, to name a few. Two of them even talked directly about why weight foreword was totally wrong. The image used was ; throwing a ball, swinging a bat, All athletic moves were using weight back and coming forward into the throw . ? Golf instruction is increasingly more difficult to understand.
Morning Tom, loved your Seinfeld reference
Opposite George😂
Also great to hear Moe Norman get a reference
Cheers
Hi Tom. Really great video. I notice you shift your hips a long way towards the target on the downswing. Do you think about moving your right hip or left hip or neither on the downswing? Thanks! David
Found this myself back in the 70's—no loading and no arm lift. Unfortunately I didn't really use my shoulders properly which kept me at an 8 handicap. Wish you were around then.
Another crispy video! Thanks Tom. Now I know what the stack and tilt is.
Does this work for driver aswell obviously not striking down on ball Its more the weight feeling
Hey Tom what grips are you using? They look like the Superlite Jumbos. What brand? Love the video
Another amazing lesson Tom as a older golfer i just dont have the same flexibility as yourself.could you please give lesson on striking irons for the older guy keep up the good work 👏👏👏
tried it for 2 days straight on range, important that ur lead grip should be more on fingers w/slight hooded face..
thanks saguto golf,,any drills to maintain swing with forward weight etc.?
thanks again inadvance,,keep swinging!
Can you do a video of your shot sequence feeling in detail.
Any tips for when I do this, my club appears laid off and I hit fat shots? I do hit solid strikes but then the dreaded fat chunk! Thanks for all your content!
Love this guy's golf videos! They have helped me by simplifying the golf swing and not making the golf swing a mystery to which there are no answers for a hacker like me lol
Pause Tom 1 ft after hitting the ball, straight arms, shoulder tilt, head back lead leg straight. starting to curve the back into the reverse C. Most the things taught by pros but not in a way you can understand. Am I correct Tom?
Hey Tom, Love your videos. a buddy of mine (Mike Harris) builds golf clubs in the MB area. You should meet him he's a Hoot !!🏌
Great stuff Tom Thanks for sharing. It looks like you have a Jpmbo max grip on that club you are swinging. what are your thoughts????
