  1. Maybe Ping is testing the waters for a complete set of hybrid irons. They have dumped the G700/710, so it would seem a complete set of full hybrid style irons would be perfect for the demographic of aging Ping loyalists. There are a lot of those guys, with lots of money. Maybe a 5-gap set. If Ping did it, it would almost validate the concept in the eyes of many.

  2. I've replaced my 4i and 5i with hybrids and it has made the game much easier. 6i or 7i never entered my mind but, although not for me, could really help someone out. The Cobra T Rail and Cleveland Launcher hybrid irons seem to be working for many and would make a good video.

  3. I am 76 y.o. And I carry 3, 4, 5, and 6 Ping hybrids. But my next club is a Ping 6 iron because I hit it 10 yards shorter than the 6 hybrid. The gapping works out just right.

  4. I’ve gone back to 4H – 8H Callaway rogue st max os makes the game easier and more enjoyable only irons I use 9i and above only ego’s stop people from doing this

  5. I have a Cobra F8 5 hybrid but with a 3 hybrid shaft in it. It took me a while to figure out where to position it in my stance but I love it and it's such a versatile club out of the rough.

  6. I have a 4 hybrid a 5 hybrid and a 6 hybrid I love them it makes hitting the ball much easier and better ball flight and distance

  7. This whole idea of clubs being for high or low handicappers doesn't make a lot of sense for me. Hybrids originally came out to help people that could not hit their irons, i.e. "high handicappers". Now, some people have no irons in their bag, and pros are playing hybrids. Are chippers for only high handicappers, because a real player should be able to use an 8 or 9 iron successfully to chip? Yet, even the lowest handicapper can probably bump and run better with a chipper assuming he practices as much with one, if he can get over the ridicule. I have watched all the YOuTube teaching pros use a chipper to use the advantages of design for pace and put a mess of shots next to the flag but "No, I wouldn't put one in my bag at the end of the video." Instead they will try to increase the verticality of an iron so the stroke can be more like a putter. When you increase the verticality above the lie angle, you change the pitch of the club to a right target.

  8. was it a gimmick when you used the 425 version in last year's video?

  9. I have a set of Thomas Golf Hybrids. 3H to Lob Wedge. I picked them up out of curiosity. They are fun to take out every now and then.

  10. Ouch, I can't believe that you said that your Dad was "nearly 80" when he's only 71😮😮
It's time to panic when he books an appointment with the family solicitor to amend his Will😢😢
I think that you may need to Gift him this bad boy to get back into his good books👍👍

  11. Greatvideo….love the short chip. I have a cut-down old 7 wood for that shot….works a treat.

  12. With every new decade, I have added an additional hybrid to my Bag. Now as a septuagenarian, I have a 19, 22 and 27deg version.
From my age perspective, it makes total sense to have clubs in my Bag that make the game easier and helps me to "play my best". However, I do see a potential issue here for PING. Namely, if I also added the 37deg hybrid in my Bag, would I need any Irons other than a couple of wedges?? I'm really tempted to get one and play a few Rounds with just a Driver, 19, 22, 27 & 37 deg hybrids, PW & SW and Putter to see if it is feasible & beneficial

  13. Ping brought the 7 hybrid out in the G425 range, I carry a 6 hybrid but there's a gap to my 7 iron that this 7 hybrid would fill

  14. I just bought the acer xds hybrid iron i7 (33degree) it’s much cheaper than this one but are probably doing the same job. Maybe check them out and doing a review of something truly affordable?

  15. I have a Ping 7 hybrid G425 and I have had trouble hitting it straight…always seems to go right…a push. I can hit it fine on the range but have trouble on the course. Still trying to figure it out.
