   Glad we hired Ryan Poles as our GM. Smart man implementing a well thought out plan to bring the Bears to a new level. Don’t pick Carter. Pick an OT or WR. If Carter is still available trade back in the first round and pick up another higher second round draft pick.

    – Tremaine Edmunds (LB)

    – Patrick Scales (LS)
    – Andrew Billings (DT)

    Backups/reserves signed or resigned:
    – Dieter Eiselen (G/C)
    – Travis Homer (RB/ST)
    – PJ Walker (QB)
    – DeMarcus Walker (DL)
    – Robert Tonyan (TE)
    – D'Onta Foreman (RB)

    Edwards and Edmunds are only 20-plus Million in 2023 but they're 18M or less with deescalating language over one less year, for younger players who make as many impact plays (on a better scheme fit) as Ro did!

    PFF, FootballOutsiders, ProFootballTalk, ESPN, NFLN, FOXSports, and most critics love the Edwards deal and admit that you HAD to pay someone to reach the cap floor in Tremaine Edmunds (might as well do that for a scheme fitted player of a younger age)..

    Poles was hell bent on NOT overpaying for RTs or the DL (he'd rather draft for the future and sign rotation / depth pieces to supplement).

    My only half heartedly supported move for me was letting Monty go, but we Bears fans have gone thru this with Forte, Langford, Howard, Cohen, and now Montgomery (we will do the same for Herbert in 1-2 seasons 😅).

    People can say what they want about not retaining a locker room leader and a truly good-natured and hard-working Human in David, but Chicago does TWO things extremely well (almost second to none really). They reload on / quickly replace LBs and RBs — Even the fan favorites or Hall of Famers…

    P.S. I love how Ryan Poles is systemically attacking needs on the team while still keeping an eye on long-term fit and cost for this franchise.

    P.P.S. All we need to do is draft soundly and get our coaches and old/new players to gel (then it'll be a much more fun season in 2023 for sure!).

    Hey Kap!! I'm not into hockey, or the White Sox, but, I noticed the Chicago sports teams seem to be allergic to offense!! I say that because remember Cubs had Heyward, and Reyes, both have improved their swing, since leaving!!😲🤨🧐🤔
