It’s Monday, June 6th, 2022. Hopping on that school bus from media parking to entry gates at the 2022 RBC Canadian Open, we had zero expectations. No clue what sort of media access we would have. Never been in a press conference room. Never been inside the ropes. No sense to bring backup clothing for Toronto’s summer heat. Never talked to the world’s best about one of Canada’s best. No awareness of our last minute airport hotel interview on Wednesday night, 12 hours before the first tee shot was struck (thank you Max and Brandon). Definition of rookie status.

The stage was set at St. George’s – Canada’s highest ranked PGA Tour golf course. Renovated by Ian Andrew and set up by Ian McQueen, St. G’s had never been presented at such a standard since it was born over 90 years ago. For those who haven’t seen this property, we hope this episode gives you a closer look than your typical broadcast. For regulars, we hope this gives you some perspective on how the players tackled the golf course.

In media circles, “The Show” at St. George’s has gone down as the greatest Canadian Open of all time. LIV’s momentum was at an all time high, yet, Scottie, Fitz, Cam Smith are all present. JT, Tony and Rory in the final group (firing a combined 20 under par on Sunday)… I mean come on.

Somehow, this is all happening at our first PGA Tour event, no pressure.

We hope this story makes Canadian golf fans proud. What a treat to put this together, timing is a funny thing.
