I do believe this is perfectly legal, but part of me is always worried of slowing down pace of play in a match like this. After a mini panic attack of deciding what to do, I basically just push the tee deep into the ground and end up not being able to take it out after the shot. 😅

Par 3s usually have a bucket of sand and scooper nearby. Personally, I would suggest making a little anthill and sending it off of that.
