The PGA Tour announced at The Players Championship their “designated events” for 2024 and changes to elevated money tournaments will look like LIV Golf events; which are limited field, no cut events.

  1. @Thinking Man Show what you didn't cover – unless it's going to be an upcoming ramble – is: do the new limited-field-no-cut events need to re-apply to the OWGR for points? Surely they'd have to wait for the mandatory 12-18 months to be assessed, right?!

  2. I don't really like LIV golf being a traditionalist. 3 rounds is not enough time to determine who the best player for the event is and I am 100% against wearing shorts. The stupid techno music playing on the course is a distraction. LIV golf owns the players and they must show up at all the events which are scattered all over the world. Than as we have witnessed they can get rid of you so fast. It is a closed shop by invitation only and once you lose your value you get the chop.

  3. You guys are the best why can’t The PGA and DP see the value to golf in getting together with LIV and give us the best golf in the world not just USA. Your ideas really sound possible. Time to move on and get round the table. All supporting each other would be better for the game in my opinion.

  4. Keep up the great original work. Be on the lookout for Mr. Carlos Shortgame to be "inspired" by your thought leadership.

  5. The PGAT is unraveling because of Jay Banahan and we get to witness it. The PGAT can only benefit from recalling the bans, they need the Liv players. If the PGAT adds teams, we could possibly have a Super Bowl where Liv and PGAT go head to head for the championship.

  6. Hi from Saudi Arabia. Great video again guys. Currently all forms of gambling are illegal in Saudi Arabia, so thinking, if you are serious you need to come up with an alternative business plan, but then I don't think you were serious!

  7. The PGA lost credibility by basically bullying out the LIV players from the OWGR. Then have the audacity to use the argument of "we have the best talent, none of your players are in the top 50 ranked players and we have everyone in the top 20". Well yes, because you excluded them from earning points for a year now!

Add to that the fact that you increased purses by 40% and now have normal events paying out rediculous amounts just proves the point the tour has no imagination, is shit scared of LIV and is just a club catering for an exclusive few.

Look at the DP World Tour, players ranked outside the top 200 are freaking losing OWGR position after having top 20 finishes on the DP tour! How does that make sense?

  8. Love this chat gents. Not sure if you have had a look at the https://www.youtube.com/@tugrgolf channel or the TUGR website but from all accounts this seems to be a fantastic alternative to the arbitrary OWGR points system. Watching what TUGR have done just makes perfect sense to me & easy to understand. Both the OWGR & SI formats just don't work. I liked what they had done so much I actually emailed to congratulate them & they were kind enough to say that they had some high level conversations with people in the industry. Also whilst we're talking about LIV using a system like TUGR, the Adelaide event in April after the Masters looks like pretty much 20,000 each day (Birdie Shack & Gallery Club sold out) which is awesome. Can still buy tickets on the website though at higher levels than what they were before Christmas. Not bad considering they are the 4th largest capital city in Australia. Imagine the numbers they would've got if the inaugural event was in Sydney or Melbourne!

  9. On television the pga tour did not show Cameron smith as past champion! Only the ones from 2015-2021 (kaymer in 2014) its kindergarden from the pga! Emberassing

  10. The PGATour will continue to copy LIV why?.. LIV planned this whole thing out for years in various forms until it came together in it's current form. The PGATour had no plan because it felt it didn't need one coming off the Tiger Woods sugar high that lasted 3 decades and was caught by surprise. The only thing the PGATour can do is copy LIVGolf in order not to get left behind.

  11. Love your work😂
Valspar: can anyone name the first names of the three players tied for 1st after the first round… no cheating now… must be right off the top of your head!! Couldn’t be bothered watching todays TV coverage. The thought of 18 inch putts from NONAME at the 13th doesn’t ring my bells. Holding my breath for Tucson for some excitement this weekend. Go LIV

  12. It’s St Patrick’s day here down under and after this mornings comp in ridiculously high Autumn(fall) temperatures of 35 degrees Celsius in the shade, I’ve succumbed to a few beers and on my way to get some Guinness. You guys are nailing it. The PGA hierarchy doesn’t get it. Exciting players = big audiences. Think Trevino, Seve, Poulter, Tiger( with or without PED), Sergio, Rahm ( must be severely pissed off these days), Makillroy( I’m from Belfast so I’m allowed to take the piss), Greg Norman ( no relation to Moe) and your fav Speith.
LIV now has fantastic players from all over the world. Happy players who are part of a community, playing brilliant golf on the toughest of courses around the world. Let’s push for a Ryder Cup style event of LIV-v-PGA to be played on a really difficult course in Australia or South Africa or even Scotland. No greens watered to dart board softness or waterlogged back thirds to prevent the embarrassment of the ball bouncing over the back of the green. Real golf, hey!
    In fact, let’s start a #RealGolf movement!
