  1. I disagree with this proposed rule. This not only will flatten out the momentum from Covid, but it also will make the other PGA Tour stars go to LIV Golf. You will see the top players less, and professional golf will not impact the masses going forward.

  2. Back in the day there was a British ball used for the open championship..a smaller ball and Jack, Trevino, Miller, Weiskopf all won playing a different ball for that week than they played on pgatour….so there is a precedence for having a different ball even though it was only 1 week. The question is why is this happening now? Who is initiating this change? It seems to me that it may be coming from major championship courses like Aug Natl. St andrews, Pebble Beach where these pros now are making a mockery of those courses with their length.

  3. "back in my day in the 70s and 80s we had to crush a drive 270 yards off the sweet spot" blah blah blah so tired and outdated go back to your hole

  4. Nope. The fans, players and equipment manufacturers all want 350 yard drives and pitch n putt courses. They want scoring. Give the people what they want.

  5. I understand wanting to keep the legacy courses competitive, and there's only so far you can keep pushing back tee boxes. I'm not sure that nerfing the ball is the way to get there, but even if it is then the ball should be nerfed for everyone and not just the elite players. I like knowing that I'm on an even field when I play, and I like watching the tour with the knowledge that the only difference between the pros and myself is an incalculable amount of skill.

  6. bifurcation in the game already exists, look at the line-of-sight relief the pros get that us amateurs don't, as a classic example….I don't understand why pros playing a different ball to amateurs is such a big deal, after all they're already doing it!

  7. Make par 5's par 4's, par 4's par 3's and par 3's par 2's. Keep the length and award precise short games!…?
