  1. Rick Shiels the best golfer on YouTube 🤣 i needed a good laugh

  2. The equipment manufactures and instructors want to focus on swing mechanics, sell more equipment and keep those students coming back for more lessons. Anyone can get to a consistent hit level when practicing. Playing when it counts brings the mental game into play and most all YouTube golfers do not have a clue.

  3. one of the reasons Rick is popular is because his game is NOT super consistent or even super long. He is relatable… That's what I like about you too. You are super knowledgeable, but humble and I love your explanations and easy to apply drills that don't screw up my swing. In fact, I think you often explain things better than Rick- That said, I do watch him and he has a nice personality with a good measure of humility (which is what Peter Finch is lacking). How about doing something on Amie Cho or maybe Eric Cogorno? I also like Jonathan Kim-Moss.

  4. Rick has stopped trying to shape (draw) his Driver and is hitting it much straighter. His approach play is shocking, leaving him too far away from the hole for a genuine birdie. His chipping is poor but his putting has improved since he stopped trying to hit every putt too hard. His course management is poor because he takes Driver at most holes and gets into trouble that a 3 wood, etc would keep him short of. He does choose to play some very tough courses and I can only admire him for doing that because 2 or 3 months ago his game was shocking and he's certainly turned it around. Can't argue with nearly 2.5 million subscribers!

  5. Pretty sure Rick got bodied by almost everyone in Good Good. I love his content but he's not close to the best golfer on YT.

  6. I started watching Rick but not so much anymore. He sets his wrist too early and his backswing is waaaaaay to fast. He hits too many hooks. His setup, balance, turn are all fabulous. Super fun guy on the course and humble. Very good short game but take the club head straight back and he hits more fairways and greens. Looking forward to the Mike Bury video.

  7. Which youtuber has helped my game the most? THIS ONE! Thanks so much! There are a lot of good coaches, but I like your quick explanations and simple, but effective drills. Some guys ramble on forever and get way too technical.

  8. Rick is a hacker with an old lady move through the ball, he's also the worst of all those on the thumbnail by a country mile.

  9. I know everyone talks about a you tuber golfer tournament and so but honestly I think most of these guys won’t fully put their reputation on the line. Most will be afraid to lose fans and viewers if they wind up getting destroyed. They all tough talk but take them out of their best ball format and make them go head to head some may not want that

  10. There are way too many people on the YouTube channels that are absolutely brilliant. Each to their own is all I will say.

  11. Rick hits it from the top. I've never seen anyone yank it as hard as he does. He also tries to hit the bottom of the ball with weight on his back foot. He knows he needs to get weight shifted so he does that as an afterthought once the ball is 20yds downrange.
Harmon had him doing drills but they didn't stick.

  12. I think Micah Morris or Zac Radford would be interesting swings to analyze. Maybe a couple longer videos breaking down the GG guys and BDS guys would be fun too.

  13. Fairness to Rick the lag putting is probably more to traveling and playing 'amazing' courses in the State's on a warm dry day and then playing 'good' courses in the UK on cold windy days. Not much time to adapt between the two.

  14. Lol mrshortgame is now giving golf lessons 🤣. I'm sorry not trying to hate but he's entertaining but a very mediocre short game in all actuality and he calls himself mrshortgame.

  15. Not big on being in the comment section but I do watch and follow pretty much every YouTube golfer named in the comments and I think one of the very best goes overlooked for whatever reason (maybe the great yt algorithm 😬😅)..but I highly recommend to everyone to check out Matt from GOLF SIDEKICK..not only do I think he can hang with the best in this series, I honestly think you all will like his videos and could learn a thing or two from his course management techniques especially for mid to high handicappers..idk just don't think he gets the publicity he deserves…anyway hope you see this Mr SG and keep it up with the BANGERS 🔥💯 THANKS

  16. I think Rick is low to mid 70's. This is generous score. He's definitely super enjoyable to watch tho. I'd love to see a YouTube golf tournament, it could add a under pressure score too. George Bryan is the best imo, if this list doesn't include Bryson and Wes.

  17. Bold move, I like this series… honestly, Rick is how and why I started watching YouTube golf… and found Mr Short Game….Rick's score 75/100, pun intended…

  18. Great video, Matt! I like how you are combining a review of another YouTuber but still incorporating instruction content. Great stuff!

Any chance that you'd do one of those schools in the Atlanta area?
