  1. As an avid fan of the sport, I love the long-ball hitters. One of the reasons I am a fan of Bryson is simply because he can crush it. It is good for the game and good for the fandom. Don't limit your players. If holes need to get longer or more complicated, so be it. But don't limit the players. Please don't be like the UCI, embrace the strength.

  2. Maybe what needs to change is our perception of scoring. If 62 becomes the norm, there will be someone out there who would shoot 61. In the end, skill will always be the deciding factor. Be it skill in the short game and putting because we can drive the green or something else. As a weekend hacker, the thought that I might be using something similar to the pros, makes me realize how great they really are. I say play as is.

  3. Do we need people driving the ball over 300 yards have lower compression balls that actually you can shape shots more the game was way more enjoyable when we saw people using a variety of clubs and not having to do it on a 7500 yard course

  4. Golf courses are too large over manicured and failing left and right across the country the game is too expensive I recall playing 9 holes for $3.75 and a 50 Cent pull cart and the game was flourishing at that point could not build enough golf courses at one point they needed to build 400 a year to try to keep up with the demand and now they're failing

  5. 1)The USGA/R&A need to establish a std ball for play (EX: the old Titleist 384 Tour Balata from the 1980's) that all Players have to play in competition, and 2) they need to go back to foam filled driver heads. There is too much COR in drivers, 0.822 should be closer to 0.500. 3)Tour Pros should play forged blade irons. No co-forged foam or polymer filled iron heads or cavity back irons on Tour..

  6. Some of the greatest ball-strikers of all time had some of the heaviest golf clubs.., Honda that has the industry sells you the lightest golf clubs so you can create clubhead speed to compress the ball you can use a ball-peen hammer or 2 lb sledge Hammer which one would you use to drive a Tenpenny nail

  7. DISTANCE has DESTROYED!! The game of Golf over the last 30 years. You can’t stretch golf courses out anymore, economically it’s not practical and the amount of water and fertilizer you need to maintain a golf course 7500+ yards is not practical. That’s one reason why “green fees” are so expensive that most people can’t afford to play anymore.

  8. This is ridiculous. Why limit the technology? Does the NBA need to raise the hoop height? That would suck if players couldn’t dunk. And it would suck to see golfers not being able to smash balls 350. Don’t get soft, USGA.

  9. Nothing lower than 15 degrees of loft (3 wood) and you don't have to change the ball

  10. These people who runs golf is showing me David Givins that they have little intelligence! Tree lined golf course that doesn’t allow them to spay balls all over the golf course without penalty is a simple solution. Links courses are what they are. One reason I love the US OPEN at oak mont where the winning score after four rounds was -3! Or plus 3 but players whined exposing them as Amateurs!

  11. Here comes golf ball gate, slipping a long ball into the bag. That being said, they can't keep extending golf courses.

  12. The vast majority of distance gains since the two piece ball and metal woods has come from new training; golf and physical. Do we want to limit the potential of better training methods, stronger more athletic players with a ball? This is disincentive for athletes who are using innovative techniques to perform better. Rollback sounds crazy…maybe some implied limit like with drivers but come on let’s not go backwards?
