  1. Great video Pete. As a newbie myself I see the benefit of 'extending the arms through' as so many of us withdraw our arms for fear of hitting it fat etc. But no reason why the two can't sort of work together.

  2. So, is this not single plane swing training?
It’s helped my game and I’m happy to see it brought into coaching again. Nice one Pete!

  3. I’m a believer that too much info is hindering to your swing. But in this case I can’t wait to try this tip. Thank you 🙏

  4. Spot on Pete! Letting go of this old school teaching has taken me a lot of time! 👍

  5. Hi Pete.
Love this video and will give this a try! Never thought about it like that.
Could you do a video on setting the wrists in the backswing. It's something I struggle with as I'm usually so focused on the backswing I forget to set my wrist position properly!
Great content as always. Awesome work.

  6. Hey, following YOU, Andy, and Matt. I have def become a not scared golfer when I am out on the course. I find that I have an English accent in my head while out on the course. 🎉❤ keep at it.

  7. Mate, sent you a email on this topic, HTF do you get such a slow smoooooooooth swing? My physical status is very similar to yours, i want to try and replicate your swing and swing temp

  8. The worst info i had from being a junior was the idea of creating lag and trying to hold onto it as long as possible. Also the idea the face goes open square closed was terrible. Some much easier for juniors now with launch moniters and good coaches.

  9. This is something I’ve really been working on as of late. However, I feel as though I’m having a harder time maintaining 70%ish on my lead foot. Causing fats and thins, what is it that you like to feel to get that world class ball striking?! Love that content

  10. I am OLD. I have been trying to do this but OLD gets in the way of Body rotation. Pain and Hurt from the hips especially the right side. . Any ideas for an OLD GIT.

  11. I use this swing as I have limited wrist mobility so it's hard for my to move my wrists at impact. I find this much more consistent and it feels more powerful. I've been using this mimicking your swing for quite some time so thank you for a video on it finally. Most golf coaches around me do not teach this.

  12. Great advise Pete, this will help a lot of us struggling.

I struggle with high hands, lots of shaft lean and a toe strike. Stumbled across a eureka moment while watch a poor swing versus a good swing of mine. Noticed my lead arm staying more connect to my sternum. Found a spoon drill I like (stick the spoon in the armpit of the lead arm and hit 3/4 shorts). Do the drill right spoon stays in pit, do it wrong and it drops to the floor. After 15 or so balls my dispersion narrowed and my strike centred.

  13. This is such a straightforward way to swing. I don't understand this obsession that other instructors have with getting people rolling the face through impact. Those same people love to try and reinforce there ideas by showing the worst demonstrations possible of what you are showing here. Why would anyone want to complicate things!

  14. I played yesterday and the ground was so firm/hard with burnt winter grass (anyone who plays in the desert knows what I mean). I caught a shot fat and the club ricocheted driving the butt into my "wedding tackle" dropping me to my knees. I wish I had that on video… LOL
