The Game begins at 1:00 p.m. EST. Prior to the game there is a ceremony being held to rename the NHTI basketball court to the “Paul Hogan Basketball Court”

The men’s basketball teams tonight are likely playing for the #1 seed in the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) tournament coming up in just a couple weeks. The Mustangs currently hold #1 with a 10-2 conference record and beat NHTI earlier this season 89-85 on November 17, 2022.
NHTI comes into the contest at #2 with a 9-3 conference record. With a win, the Lynx and Mustangs will be tied for first heading into the tournament. In the previous meeting between the two teams, Wyatt Hathaway of the Mustangs had a career-high 33 points leading Central Maine to the win. For the Lynx, Sean Riley scored 19, Anthony Gauthier scored 16, Andrew Fagans scored 13, and Joe Canty scored 11.
It’s bound to be another tight bout between these top 10 nationally ranked teams. In the most recent USCAA Coaches Poll, CMCC was ranked #5 and NHTI moved up to #8 nationally.

Before the scheduled contests, NHTI athletics is holding a ceremony dedicating its new basketball court to legendary Coach and Athletic Director, Paul Hogan.

Prior to his retirement in 2022, Coach Hogan spent most of his 43-year career in athletics working with NHTI. He served as the Lynx Men’s Basketball Head Coach and Athletic Director from 1999-2022. Additionally, Hogan is the only coach in Lynx history to surpass 500 wins (513). With Coach Hogan at the helm, NHTI captured seven Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) Championships and two United States College Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championships (2005, 2020). NHTI made history as the first men’s basketball team from New Hampshire to win a National Championship.

In Honor of Coach Hogan’s dedication to the Lynx, NHTI will be renaming the court to the Paul Hogan Court at 12:00-12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Following the ceremony Lynx fans and family will be treated to some of the finest basketball in the USCAA. The #9 nationally ranked NHTI Men’s Basketball team will tipoff at 1:15 p.m. against the #5 ranked Mustangs from Central Maine Community College (CMCC).

With the regular season coming to an end, these two teams are battling for the first overall seed in the upcoming Yankee Small College Conference Tournament. After the Men’s game, the NHTI and #1 nationally ranked CMCC Women’s Teams will tipoff at 3:15 p.m.
