All these referees and umpires are just making themselves stupider whenever they don't admit mistakes because hello, we are in the modern world where technological advances are used to retract decisions or make the corrective measures or call. These BWF umpires are full of crap a lot of times.
It’s not at all easy being an umpire. We have the luxury of watching the replays, those guys don’t.
Introduce VAR reply and there has to be consequences or punishes to umpires who proved to have made wrong calls with replay, like suspension or some sort. I don’t care how people say how hard the job is, a wrong call is a wrong call and the wrong call should be overruled by the replay. Too many arrogant umpires who are useless and won’t admit their mistake even if replay shows it otherwise.

The hawk eye should be realistic as the hawk eye in tennis. They show the running rally so that we know the exact shot that is being reviewed. Here in badminton, you have animation that is played which can be per-recorded as well…!!! BWF has to look into this review system.
mostly wrong calls here under human error initally, having read many comments & suggestions that badminton matches required for VAR which similar to what Tennis matches equipped for tours, but I guess such change in this sports would have to take a long time, with the others saying players should be allowed to have the rights to challenge the empire & line judge decision if they strongly contest their calls, which in my opinion is doable and reasonable and more appliable than facilitating with VARs
Yeah "Hawkeye" is a joke sometimes, I especially noticed It at the final of Denmark Open 2021 Momota/Axelsen at the end of the first game at 20/19… It was disgusting.

One thing badminton players should learn from tennis players is sportmanship. Concede the point when fault happens. I’m an amateur player and i can tell when i commit faults, i bet the professional players should be able to. I know the stakes are very different, but they should hold integrity and honour above all.
Please kindly explain this… a portion of the front part of the shuttle must touch the line OR… it's okay to have the Japan vs Spain in World Cup 2022 situation where from the above… seems lika the front part covers the line. Coz the front part of the shuttle is cruved.

Thank you for the video. The LS match between India/Indonesia where from side view, the shuttle, looks out is in fact in. What the graphic display did was wrongly placed it further into the line causing confusion. The cock of the shuttle is regarded as a circular object when view from the top. In that incident, the display should have shown to marginally touch the line. There was a different match, MS, I can't remember which event and was a sideline shot, the graphic correctly display it marginally touch the line.

Another bad call was (I forgot which tournament, but it was one of the later ones of 2022) when the umpire thought that the birdie hit the ground before Chou Tien Chen returned it, but it clearly did not in the replay.
There is no point in trying to show this to the bwf or anything. They all are corrupt.

BWF should screw hawkeye and use camera replay to overrule any umpire judgment errors. Time for bwf to step up and solve the dispute issues once and for all.
Send these videos to BWF. Badminton needs VAR for every incident, no doubt. And hawk eye needs to be combined with VAR as well.
