After 55 years of my love hate relationship with golf, I can say without a doubt I dearly love this miserable game and will never stop playing until the final swing. During this time I have found that game improvement clubs ( which were not around in the mid 1960's ) are the way to go, bar none. Golf is hard, amateurs playing with clubs above their skill level and paying money for them before the first of way to many swings is crazy. Low left or high right both short and crooked, is not sexy, a word you mentioned, just saying. Good video, thanks.
It’s pretty obvious why the standard has more alignment, it’s for mid to high handicappers and helping them align the club face behind the ball. The golfers that will be using the triple diamond don’t exactly need that extra alignment help.
Why not put them both in your bag !? If they are both useful to you and that's the brand you want to go with. If they are very similar to you and your game….just spin a coin or if there are more Drivers you cannot decide on, put the names on piece of paper each and draw out of a hat !! Lol.
Great vid James – could equally have been titled "The HONEST TRUTH About Letting Your Ego Get in the Way in a Fitting". As you said, you had a preference for Triple Diamond and no doubt the peak launch monitor numbers supported your preference…..but most of us play golf, not simulator golf. I went into a Rogue ST Max driver last year and have lost 3 strokes off my handicap. With a season under the belt Garmin tells me my average driver distance is up a couple of yards which I put down to the forgiveness of the Max.
I bought the Paradym standard. Coming off a Sim2, that was awesome, I gained 20 yards. First round with my brother yesterday and he said "in 30 years I've never seen you hit driver this good". I always struggle with a hook and was fitted into a Kai Li X flex. I'm in the low 140's in ball speed but the stiffer shaft all but eliminated my hook. Go get fit! Another addition after trying all the new three woods was the sim 2 titanium. It goes as for as my sim 2 driver. I now have the fire power to get pin high on most par fives in two.
I am a 15 handicapper and have just started playing the triple diamond. Tested all the new stuff and the triple diamond stood out. Pleased to say that it is working on the course too – fantastic driver but the real strength is the 3 and 7 woods in the range. Amazing clubs
got fitted for the standard to replace my TSi3. due to the low spin numbers from the standard the fitter didnt even consider the triple diamond….. cant wait for it to arrive and get out on the course
I love the look of the Paradym and when I had a fitting it went great, but I can't justify spending £500+ on a driver, I've got an ex-demo TSi3 which has changed my game, its a driver I finally get on with.
I thought for sure I was going to be walking out of a driver fitting buying a Parardym. After an in-depth fitting (included Stealth 2 , Ping G430), the Titleist TSR2 was just a best fit for me. Higher ball speeds and tighter dispersion. For the amount of money drivers cost, make sure to get a thorough fitting and test out various brands. Cheers!
When I was fitted by Lefthanded Golf for my Mavrik Max, I hit the Cobra Radspeed 15 yards further but my spin and accuracy dispersion was far greater. The fitter insisted I bought the Callaway despite it being cheaper as it was the previous years model.
I'm a bit dumbfounded with regards to the "forged" carbon wrap as the forging process refers to metals, or is this just a stupid marketing ploy like Dyson's digital motor, which doesn't exist.
I got fitted into the triple diamond with a 10 gram weight in the back and a 6 gram in the front. Also with a mid/mid shaft. That part kinda surprised me. I did try both but distance, ball speed and dispersion were all better with the 🔹🔹🔹so I went that route.
James, love your videos but this one got to me. First, in the simulator your numbers were virtually identical (triple diamond had 1 more yard of carry and 3 yards total). Dispersion was tighter on the standard driver. How is the "truth" about the Callaway Paradym. I would recommend moving the 2 gram weight forward and the 14 gram weight back. Spin rate and launch angle won't change dramatically and will still be near the 2000 mark. Also, at 9 degree with a 70 gram stiff flex shaft…the standard model will match or nearly match the triple diamond. As stated previously, you're talking 1 yard in carry and 3 yards total.
I have the std paradym 10.5, at 9.5 setup, and I'm loving it. I almost went for the triple diamond but the std is so forgiving that it's easier to keep in play.
Fit into Paradym X with Vista Pro shaft. Should be in my hands before the weather breaks. I loved the ball flight in all strikes, and the distance maintained on mishits was very impressive, the best of anything else I tested
I have the Paradym Standard driver. I previously had a Titleist TSi2. The 2 was longer when hit well, but the Paradym is much more consistent in distance in off-center hits and retains length much better in those mishits. I'm a 23 Handicap so consistency and forgiveness are what I need all around.
I play with the Rouge ST Max LS and its one of the better drivers I have come across. And I'm now looking at this Paradym. Thanks for the great review.
The best is get a good reputable Golf Fitting Company to get it fitted properly better than speculating which is better because it’s not cheap driver and you will get maximum performance if you don’t testing properly with all the other Paradym or other manufacturers.
My last 2 drivers have been "low spin". A Titleist TS3 and a Ping G425 LST. They were both fitted at OEM fitting days. I'm collecting a standard Paradym this afternoon. I wanted to like the Triple Diamond – the spin was super consistent and exactly what was needed. The distance was also great. There was just one issue: I hit it all over the place. Switching to the standard club, the forgiveness helped me to hit it straighter and more on line. They're both great clubs but the fitting is the key.
bought a paradym but couldnt hit it, call me crazy but im trading it for a triple diamond.. coming from a 2nd gen m2, i was put off with the shallow face of the paradym..

Love the head to head and for me James it would be the standard Paradym
I find spin under 2000 is to hard to play with on the course. It gives you false total distance unless you are playing on an airport runway.

I would play Paradym all day
Standard paradym 10.5 regular ventus blue non velacore 50 gram shaft
would like to see a Titleist TSR1 review…thx…cheers from Canada
Standard seems more playable, offline but farther is still offline. For me, that's farther in the woods. 🙂
The head covers are awful, look so cheap and tacky 🤮
Triple Diamond in my bag if I was you James.

All a bit boring

Really thought you were going to put the Ping 430LST in the bag.
Number 7 better number😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Nup.
Still keeping the TSR3 in the bag. Best in the business. 🙌👍💯
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I would use the standard since it is more forgiving.
I'm a bit dumbfounded with regards to the "forged" carbon wrap as the forging process refers to metals, or is this just a stupid marketing ploy like Dyson's digital motor, which doesn't exist.
Seeing some new holes on the course today
From what I’ve seen of the stealth 2 it’s the one to beat this year especially on tour

I would use them if they weren’t so expensive lol
Just saying triple diamond out loud 3 times makes my Bridgestone disappear.
I love Callaway but my Mavrik is easily as good as this overhyped club. SAD but TRUE

For me no contest the STANDARD All day long CHEERS
Standard for me
Distance 100% of the time
Am I the only one that cringes when the driver heads clang together? Keep up the great work James 🙂

Long time Callaway user but this year the g430 LST is in the bag

this is what i need to see before my fitting this weekend
I have the Triple Diamond, 9 degree, Ventus Blue TR, 6S……love it!
If I could afford to buy any new drivers from the last few years, money would clearly not be an issue.
I play with the Rouge ST Max LS and its one of the better drivers I have come across. And I'm now looking at this Paradym. Thanks for the great review.

Why doesn't anyone talk about the 10.5 loft versions of the low spin drivers? A completely different beast!
bought a paradym but couldnt hit it, call me crazy but im trading it for a triple diamond.. coming from a 2nd gen m2, i was put off with the shallow face of the paradym..
