We all loved him… iconic… for me his best game his most iconic game was England west Germany 1990… probably the most important game since 1966 before or since simply because England were good enough to lift the thing more so than any other time… everybody knew it at the time and of course we were facing the outstanding germans…an absolute pressure cooker of a game and motson nailed it for us… we'll never forget him r.i.p

  11. A very sad day for football and punditry, fantastic professional and the true voice of football for my 43 yrs of watching and listening to the game . Rip sir . Will be a great loss to all . Blessings to his family , he was a true gent .
