What a belter this episode is!

We welcome Ken Doherty back to the channel who puts on a snooker clinic and delivers some amazing stories on how he got his cue, meeting his hero Alex Higgins and even training with a young 12-year-old Ronnie O’Sullivan. Settle down with a drink and enjoy this one, it’s definitely one of our favourite episodes so far!

  1. Hey Stephen, try doing a few frames with Jimmy you'll easily smash 1 million views with the whirlwind.

  2. Wow that cue story is amazing winning the greatest prize in both the amateur and professional game with it and still have it to this day

  3. I used to play snooker with a highly talented snooker player called Alan Thompson who was Irish and used to play with Ken Doherty.

  4. Agh this is wonderful, charming man is Ken.
£2 for me cue had it me whole career – think I was robbed
    😂 classic

  5. Ken is on to something.

Cue Tips live streams on matches, with Stephen and another pro/s from his own studio.

No bland, vanilla, PC commentary – just unfiltered professional opinion.

  6. Got to meet Ken and play a frame with Jimmy White in Kerry a few months back, top notch guy. Plenty time for everyone 👏

But……is anyone gonna mention the fact that ken pot a brown and then the blue after in the middle of that break 😂😂😂

  7. Best video so far!! Ken is so likable and great stories. I could listen Ken all day. I was lucky enough to see him play in his prime, shame he didnt win more worlds

  8. Legend has it Ken unfortunately caused criminal damage to the metal bin when he fell and hurt it. To this day that metal bin is still burning.

  9. I think Stephen nails it towards the end where he says he can't just play "for fun" or "a day out" .. he still thinks he should be beating everyone. It was that mentality that made him arguably the GOAT (and I'd say for sure in the top 2!), but it means he just can do now what Jimmy and Ken do. You could argue that Ronnie's longevity is also because he had spells where he couldn't really be bothered/focused, whereas Stephen /always/ cared. Stephen is built to win, and if he's not winning he can't be happy, and why spoil a legacy? I think it's probably for the best .. it's just not the same when a legend goes on beyond that period when they're winning (consistently) … bow out while the crowd still want more.

  10. Seen Ken at an exhibition about 10 years ago, casually rolled in a 147 that night with John Virgo on the mic cracking jokes. I do like Ken, absolute legend and humble guy
