Blockhus is definitely one to watch out for at the big show

Thank you for posting B1G!
Peyton Robb is such a class act.
Is lee hurt?
Great finals
Christmas and New Year's Day for wrestlers are the Conference tournaments (especially Big 10s) and NCAAs. I love the matches this time of year when the wrestlers are at their sharpest. We see kids transcending themselves and moving to the next level with big upsets and we see others collapsing into a heap of broccoli because the pressure finally gets to them. Love it all, the passion of sport.
Cronin needs to just bully Lee, if he can. Upper body lock him like Marinelli used to do. No way he'll beat Lee in a straight up match, he's got to make it quick and brutal. I think Lee would be shocked if somebody approached him like that. Lee would probably still win, but at least Cronin would have a chance.
great coverage guys!!
I feel for kervliet, but I woulda been just as disappointed for Parris if he lost. Two great heavyweights
Ref makes a stall call on Lee, then Lee responds with a takedown for 2…Lol that's just good stuff right there.
Those 2 PSU losses were very disappointing
They need to do something about people just hanging on to the leg in the Kennedy hamiti final hamiti was so close to like 5 takedown and Kennedy just sat on a ankle
Great coverage of terrific tournament. Wrestlers did well. Refs too except for stalling calls on Mason Paris !
Haines was the revelation of the tournament. The Big Ten will rampage at nationals…again.
Dean is tough love his style
Way to go, SILAS ALLRED!!!
I've been waiting for Silas to really break out in the NCAAs. It was just a matter of time. He's one of the great Indiana wrestlers of the last few years, along with Mason Parris, Nick Lee, Brayton Lee. Silas is as good as it gets. Been watching him since he was in 8th grade.
SPENCER LEE FOR #4 MAKE HISTORY GO HAWKS
Nebraska can chill with the challenges.
Thank you B1G Network!
when he mentioned that Sebastian Rivera was the only person to beat Spencer Lee and RBY. Thats a major accomplishment to think about. 2 of the greats in College Wrestling.
Penn State 💪💪
What has happened to Iowa…the slow boat to mediocrity?
hamiti has such a baby face its kind of comical how much of a monster he is on the mat
Legend has it, Nagao is still trying to shake RBY's hand.
Keep it up big 10 congrats to all the champs 💪🏼
that back point exchange in the first period of 141 is criminal. Did the rules for swipes change? Or the way in which we count to the number 2?
I have a question. What are the “levels” one could divide freestyle wrestling into except weight classes?
My idea is something like:
1. Olympic & World championship
2. Other international tournaments
3. Division I
4. Division II
5. Division III
6. High school wrestling
7. Children’s wrestling?
I’m really guessing since I’ve never wrestled and I also never visited the US. Perspectives from other countries than USA is also welcomed. I’m thankful for any insightfullness! 🤼
Thank you for posting these matches 🫶🏼
Fantastic tournament. One area where I feel that the hosts made an error: they needed another mat all the way around – especially for the finals. The action was stopped way too many times due to a wrestler touching the hard deck when a takedown could have still happened. The outcomes of some of the matches might have been different.
Nagao was getting flustered at the end of the match vs RBY. He’s good on top and I understand wanting to wrestle to your strengths. But you’re not beating RBY this way as he came to find out lol
Don't think I've ever seen a headgear quite like the one Nagao has.
Sasso wild for that backpack 😂
Spencer Lee scores more points than Iowa’s offense for football.
Dean Hamiti puts a smile on this sconnies face.
Cronin built just like fix
Exciting tournament! Thank you for sharing this.
I really hope RBY gets on the US team and represents us on the world stage. I feel he has what it takes to bring it home for us.
Where was all the brilliant medical forfeits the brands made up last year …it wasn’t so brilliant now was it. Iowa wrestlers other than Lee under achieve year after year. Lee would be healthier and a better wrestler if he has went to Penn state…Brands are just brilliant lol
They made me feel bad for Kennedy's family. Both sons lost in the finals… rough weekend
RBY kept his cool when his opponent was acting like a tool at the end.
Blockhus was a pleasant surprise. If he improves his top game he’ll be stone cold
The first period stall call on Paris was a little weird
Kerkvliet needs to stop playing and start utilizing more overtie offense. He was in perfect position to hit Paris with multiple overtie slide bys off his overtie to wrist two on one.
Boy it is very obvious who Brooks modeled his wrestling after. He looked just like Cael in his college days.
