  1. Gotta be careful with Nolan Smith. Even if you look at what Reddick or Uche did this year, it took both of them until their 3rd or 4th year to start producing.

Both of them started out messing around at LB, tbf. But you really want a pass rusher picked in the Top 10-15 to be producing from day one.

  2. I'm kind if unimpressed with the combine now. Every year people put up insane numbers but if it's so translatable then why don't they train this way before every college season?

This just makes me more and more into trusting the game tape and sometimes you can find freak athletes and turn them into stars.

  3. I’ve been saying this for a while now. Nolan smith needs to play off ball linebacker.

  4. How do these big men run faster than these safeties at the combine? Insane…. You would never guess by looking at their frame. Small skinny guy? Runs 4.6. Bulky and big? Runs 4.45

  5. I agree that this is a lackluster linebacker class, but if I had to take a chance on one linebacker, it would be Jack Campbell from Iowa. Going into the scouting combine, I was afraid of his 40 yard dash. I didn’t think he had elite speed, and a former Hawkeye, Josey Jewell, ran a 4.82. But when he ran under 4.7, I was pleasantly surprised, as well as his cone drills. He is one of the few guys that can play zone coverage, and that is a needed commodity.
